Triond…the spot for scribes and wanna-be writers to post their material…
Triond…the spot for members to read and comment on that posted material…
Well, I always thought that was the purpose but recently reading and commenting on submitted material has become more and more difficult…
I have just spent about two hours trying to read and comment on the great submitted efforts of those in my circle of “friends”…three quarters of that time I have spent trying to fend off unwanted advertising that unexpectedly pops up while I am reading a submission and then the bloody ads pop up when I’m partway through posting a comment…
And then there are the growing number of Ajax error when voting messages…
It is bloody frustrating…
What does Triond want to be an writing and reading/commenting site or an annoying advertising site?
I want all those who take the time to read and comment on my material how much I appreciate your efforts because I know the time and trouble you are going through to do what you do – so THANK YOU.
I have struggled to return the kind and generous encouraging support but Triond is making it increasing difficult.
Maybe everyone on Triond needs to join me in a 72-hour boycott of Triond so that they will take some of our legitimate concerns seriously and restore this site to what it was when we signed on.
Triond, please correct the growing list of serious problems that are expanding and becoming worse and worse…this site is no longer a fun place to be and to participate in

I hope there aren’t any errors here…Triond would not allow me to perform a fix on this one for whatever reason…so what you see is what you get errors and all…Thanks and take care

No errors Jim! but I do understand your frustration and it is not a new problem. I stopped using triond earlier this year for all the reasons you stated. I think they need to adds to get money and I know a few months back they had a virus on here. All these things cause problems. I hope they get them sorted too but I don’t think you will get the entire member list to boycott.

I understand your frustration Jim. I had a problem with one of my articles yesterday. They published it, then it was back in draft unpublished, then when they did publish it – I couldn’t find it in my published list and it’s not showing in my profile now.
Also, when I was 2 articles down to reaching 5,000 views, it stated 2 articles left to reach 5,000 – it then jumped back to 20 more articles left and stayed on “20 left” for hours even though articles were being viewed.
I doubt people would want to boycott now as many are more than half way into the promotion. Its always best to write for more than one site. My serious writing is all on Hubpages. I love their flexibility and how professional they are, been there for about 2 years. I joined Triond to build on Writing and increase earnings. I am very much still active on Hubpages. So, join another Writing Site by the side – but still keep Triond.
That way, all your eggs are not in one basket.
Take Care and thanks for commenting on all our articles.

LOL jimbob, you are getting funnier by the day. I totally agree with you 100%. those bloody and annoying ads continue to get in my way when I am trying to read and post comments. Oh and there are so many wanna-bees on this site. yes, very true. sometimes they just take the same comment and copy and paste that same b.s. on everyone else’s page. Count me in for the 72 hour boycott. A very good and opinionated article.

Jimbob, I hear you. I’m new around here. I do overall like Triond. I am challenged by the ads uploading. It takes patience to fuss with commenting sometimes.
Try some other avenues, and you will see how well Triond is doing. So far, it is worth it to me. Thanks for your post. Keep us smiling!

It happens to me too. It’s really frustrating.

Jimbob. Thank you for putting into words the way I think many of us are feeling about these pop-ups. They are driving me mad too. I find the same pop-up can come up when reading, then again when commenting and often if I don’t turn the post off straight away it pops up again when I finally do switch it off. Don’t advertisers realise that too much exposure puts people off their products?

Well Jim I agree with you I have never written “Nice share” or “Great write” ever and I never will. I read what I comment on always, I admit if the article is on a subject I have no interest in at all, I will speed read it, but I read it! I too have a circle of dear friends and I try to never miss commenting if possible. The boycott? ok put me down. I have tried other publishing sites but I;m drawn back to Triond for ease of use and mostly they publish everything I write. Take care big-fella let me know if ya arrange the strike..lol….. LB

I hope they soon fix the problems that are causing so much frustration for people who are trying to write or/and respond. I guess life will never be a prefect bowl of cherries.
