A New Genre in Autobiography: The Telling Touch

A new genre of writing which promotes the sharing of individual wisdom, faith and belief through the richness of personal experience filtered through love and promoting a unifying spirit of tolerance and acceptance. An integration of diversity to be found, gathered, and gleaned from the sacredness of Life everywhere.

The Telling Touch style of writing is what takes place after we have come through life experiences and adventures finding treasure of wisdom–that view of sacredness which, if sought– will unfold before our eyes in all its awesome wonder. The tellings of how we came to know what we now know, why we now stand upon the Holy Ground we do; the 20-20 hindsight and essence of our personal life stories. The Telling Touch is the kindly, loving touch which allows us to share with one another our birds-eye view, capturing our own unique paradigms of the ever-winding, divergent pathways traveled.

When we look upon our lives with a humble heart and a willing spirit we will find the wisdom tucked into each step of the path we have traveled–oftentimes in faith. Our personal realms of adventure have led us to greater self-awareness and personal transformation. Always exciting and full of incredible risks and challenges, these adventures of life cannot be traveled by the weak of heart, mind or spirit. Time and space travel all rolled into one-the inner being, the outer being, the past, the present, and the future–being and becoming-the unending cycle of life experiencing life.

Challenges and opportunities presented to ourselves by ourselves in order to experience things we long to experience all for reasons as individual as we each are-these are the tales, the stories, the memories, the rich experiences of life which have long-awaited sharing in the safety, security, and openness of a Telling Touch.

Saijin introduces this new genre of personal autobiographical writing, allowing us to embrace the ability to share our own voice of wisdom with others. Her writings will provide an example of how to take that first step forward for those seeking their own voice of telling. Now, as never before, we can declare our truths courageously, yet lovingly, as a benefit to ourselves, our families, our friends, and all others with whom we hold the common bond in this most exquisite experience called Life.
