The first Saturday of every month should be….
Triond Community Developemnet Day
A great writer here on Triond posted an article a while back about how the older articles do not get read.
We spend our time submitting articles, checking new articles and promoting our own articles.
Today is aday to view those older articles. Go to your friends’ profile pages and view some older articles (Read The Older Stuff~). Click the like button, comment you liked it and help develope the Triond Community.
We work hard to write great articles, it is disheartening to see them collect dust only a month after they are written.
It may be hard work but will be worth it, who knows? Maybe a friend has old articles that you have never even seen…. And maybe some of those older articles will bring inspiration.
Let’s Roll!

A lot of my older articles, even from 3 years ago, still pick up some views from people finding them on search engines – such views are more ‘valuable’ than those from the Triond community itself.
Nevertheless, it can be worthwhile to, once in a while, have a look through a friends portfolio to see if there is something you have missed reading that might interest you – after all, we can’t be on Triond all the time so it is easy to miss something good.

Maybe you must make a link to your old articles so that can be read by visitors

Thank you for bringing this up. Our old articles are just as deserving as the new ones. The Triond graph on the Dashboard tends to take a nosedive on me if I skip a week without writing anything new. It’s like a balloon with a hole in it. Optimally, once an article is written, it is added to more articles that have been written, and the TOTAL NUMBER glean the writer more views, because there are more articles. That formula doesn’t seem to work on Triond. The number of articles I write (total doesn’t seem to affect the money (I use that term loosely) I make. I guess it is up to us to promote our older articles, as most of our readership seems to come from the Triond Community, which is relatively small. I guess Triond’s rating in the search engines is limited. Just my observation. Thanks again.

Very nice Idea. I’ll try to do that more often.

We should do this.

Useful advice on supporting fellow writers.

triond has a real good community. triond is under-performing. they are losing out on more money making opportunities than we.

I was actually looking at a few things I’ve posted and there are a lot of them, that don’t have any comments whatsoever. Sad, when you really think about it. Well done. Keep up with the great work. Keep on penning. Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful and creative talents with us. We all truly appreciate it.

Liked.

Al Contrar, I frequently search content for the older stuff since, as you mentioned, it is very easy to get stuck in the rut of reading only the current output. Good Idea of yours to keep our fingers on the pulse of the Triond content that is collecting dust.
May 6th, 2012 at 12:42 am
Sounds like a good idea Mummy.

But how many people will actually go read older posts? Many say this is a good idea and what not, but they never follow through. People should just honestly say they don’t intend to do that then leave a ‘humor me’ comment like “I agree” – even on a content farm. (People just don’t like to read older stuff, unfortunately. They’re too busy posting and expecting people to read theirs. lol.)

It is now past the 5th but I will certainly read some older articles later. This is a good idea. I enjoy when I go on my Triond page and see that articles I wrote a long time ago have had some views.
