And learn to be taken seriously.
Comic sans is a font that comes pre-installed on windows. This is a font to avoid and here are 5 reasons for it.
The font looks worst than a 5 year old’s hand writing, the characters shape and style look like you put no effort into what you write, even if its pointless stuff, don’t use comic sans to make the reader think; ‘ Why the hell would they choose comic sans?’. Similar to looking at a 5 year old’s hand writing, people can identify the font quite easily, probably because of how bad it looks.
For the one in a million that actually use this font for their comic, then i guess good for you. But it is possible that 99.9% of comic sans users are not in fact creating a comic which is the reason they choose the font. Its like choosing to put on a yellow t-shirt.
Who will take you seriously if you hand in an assignment to your teacher with comic sans? Who would take you seriously if you hand in paper work to your boss in comic sans? Any professional that uses this font for their work is indeed unprofessional. Even keeping to the basics like Ariel and times new roman are the perfect fonts for these documents, they can be transfer ed to other computers and the font will remain identify able.
Why would Microsoft make this a pre installed font, did they plan to market their product to comic artists?
Users who use this font are just continuing the joke.
Its every 13 year old kid’s favourite font, if staying away from that stereotype is not good enough of a reason to keep away from comic sans then you probably should continue using the don’t.

I agree with not using the Comic Sans font. I never use it, but what’s wrong with a Yellow T-shirt? One of my most comfortable t-shirts that I ever owned was a delightful canary yellow. Even after it was too worn out to wear out in public anymore, I used it for a “knock about the house” shirt for a long time. I can’t imagine why you’d think there’s anything bad about wearing a yellow t-shirt. Yellow is a perfectly valid color for a t-shirt. Just as valid as any other color. And by the way, Ariel is not a good alternative. The upper case “i” and the lower case “l” are identical in Ariel. That is a major flaw in that font.
