I am concentrating on bigger projects and will not be contributing any articles for awhile, although I will still be checking in and reading some.
As I spend more time on my new series of books, I will be cutting out article submissions to many sites. Unfortuneately, Triond is one of them. I will be checking in from time to time to see what is new and interesting, but for the most part will be concentrating my efforts on my books.
As much as I enjoyed Triond in the beginning, I must say the quality of articles seems to be diminishing. There seems to be a lot of writing going on, but not enough editing and spell-checking. This is unfortunate as those who claim to be professional writers should know better.
I have cut down my submissions to a select few sites; I may or may not continue on with Triond when my books are finished. I have made some friends here who I keep in contact with outside of the site and I am grateful for that. Those friendships will continue whether I come back or not.
In addition to working on my books I will be accepting proofreading and editing contracts. For further information please contact me via my website. I anticipate between the two I will be kept fairly busy from here on in.
With the Holiday season approaching (must faster than we would like) my first book of the series will concentrate on crafts. I will provide details of where it will be available after publishing; it will be available by September 1, 2011. I am enjoying putting this one together, as it has brought back many fond memories.
Without further ado I must get busy. I will check in on an almost daily basis, but will not be contributing any articles for awhile. I appreciate the votes and the readership and all of the wonderful comments I have received through the months. Take care all!

So sorry to hear you won’t be writing here for a while. I’m finding that my old “genuine” friends seem to be leaving in droves and, like you, I suspect it’s the sudden influx of people coming along to try and make a fast buck from writing as many nonsensical articles as possible with little content and without a proper understanding of English spelling or grammar. It doesn’t help either that there are so many people out there now who don’t contribute anything but merely advertise their websites in the comment box or send messages direct. I spend ages each morning deleting comments and messages and blocking people.
Good luck with the books, Diane – I hope it all goes according to plan!

I will certainly miss your writing, but I had to do the same thing a while back. I have to spend my time making actual money, not chump change.

It is very sad when good writers move away, leaving the poor quality writers have a field day. In the meanwhile, people like me, who haven’t taken the time to look beyond Triond, suffer.

I see an above writer did pick up on your miss-spelling? it happens to us all especially for me when I comment as there is no spell checker! I feel the standard of Triond writing hasn’t changed its always been the poor cousin of the ‘Content Farms’ and the search engines have turned their back on the farms. My hits went per day from 250 to 75 I too only now write one or two articles a week for Triond I am like you trying to fry bigger fish. I have made many friends including you on Triond and I will always be grateful. I also believe its not the influx of rubbish new writers that are the problem they have always been there! its the good writers like you and hopefully me and many others that are leaving like rats from a sinking ship! the void is filled by lack lustre no talent penny chasers. Good luck in the future stay in touch. LB

LB – Yes, that word always gets me; it didn’t look right when I did it then forgot to change it before submitting. I guess that just goes to show no one is perfect. The articles with one or two errors do not bother me near as much as the articles which are riddled with them. I appreciate the “constructive criticism”, it just helps me grow as a writer. I also need to earn more than pennies, as I have a barn to build.

I wish you all the best with your writing. I have been concentrating more on book and e-book writing too now instead of article writing. This morning when I noticed that Triond has created a button to flag content that is inappropriate or just really poorly written, I had hope though that perhaps one day I will be back here writing again. It had just become very discouraging like you said with the amount of garbage that was mixed in.
Please keep us updated with how your projects are coming along!
