To be a sports writer it is good to start off by sending articles about sports games to news papers to get experience in high school. Most sports writers have college degrease in journalism. But almost any degree is acceptable as long as it comes with a deep knowledge of sports

The salary and benefits and hours- the hours for being a sports writer is a 40 hour work week and the average pay is 39,160 per year some benefits are you get to travel a lot and go to a lot of sports game. Witch can be good if you like to go to sports games, but can also be a negative if you have a family.
