How to Bid Successfully for a Freelance Job

There are many bidding websites where freelancers have to bid for work. There is plenty of competition form experienced writers and mainly from the less experienced. Here are some tips on how to successfully bid for freelance jobs.

After you have registered many websites allow you to create a profile. This is a chance to write about your skills, experience, talent and of course experience. Answer as honestly as you can.
Write an eye-catching title for your account, for example “Experienced Article writer”

Most bidding sites also notify jobseekers on new projects, sign up by email or RSS fees.
Understand what type of articles you want to write or are willing to write and how much you want to be paid.

You may need to accept low pay to start off with. Build up a good list of regular clients to start with and as you progress you could ask more for your work.

Only bid on jobs you are willing to take. The jobs you do take complete on time and in a proper manner.

Clients often get a chance on bidding sites to rate and post a review on bidders. Try and aim to get a good review about yourself from clients as this may attract more clients.

Show your other work to clients. If you write articles here at Triond let clients see. Many times bidders add fake or exaggerated profiles, this is a good way to show off your good work.
Always be polite to your clients. If a client wants a CV add a cover letter provide it. (click here for advice on how to write a cover letter.)

It’s not an easy job to win bids, mainly because there is so much competition. Read all the terms and conditions of the bidding site to avoid your membership being cancelled. Good luck!
