Decide to Revise

Why revision is important to you as a writer.

When you drive through Burger King and you order a burger and fries, you pay for the order only to discover that it is fish sandwich and fries. You as a customer is very dissatisfied. Right? You just paid for something you did not order. You expect them to make your order right, and if they do not, you threaten not to return. Burger King loses a customer.

Writing is a service also. You write and have your work published  for your audience or customer or readers. You want your customer to be satisfied with your work so that they will return. Who wants to read a bunch of jumbled up words that are misspelled? It also looks very unprofessional. In writing you  need to make gains not losses. That is why revisions are important. It is important to you as a writer to know the correct spelling of a word. It is important to you to realize that you have made an error. It is important for you to correct your mistake.

If you do not take pride in your work you will not get very far. You will also not have as many customers as someone who took care and consideration for writing. Offer your audiences the best material and you will recieve great rewards. You may even be promoted to a higher position.

Most editors and publishers started out from where you are today. They work themselves up to be the very best. They know when you have a real love for writing and when you don’t. They have the ability to pick and choose and give awards to those who deserve them most.

Time and patience are an important role in submitting. Take your time and be patient. Go back to correct your mistakes. Read over your work a couple of times. If you are submitting a manuscript for publication, do you feel you will have a good chance of being accepted for publication with a bunch of errors that could have been fixed? Editors are not there to teach you how to spell.  Take it upon yourself to do your job right. It makes it easier for the whole family or team. It makes you shine like a star. Your customers are pleased and they will increase. So, even though you may be in a hurry, decide to revise. That will be a good decision on your behalf and others.
