Another great opportunity for the person who loves to write.

I have only been with www.helium.comfor a few short hours and yet I am already loving it. I write for a variety of sites and I am glad anytime, anywhere I get a chance to write. My obsession with writing runs to my very heartbeat without writing I don’t know where I’d be. Anyway Helium,Bukisa.Triond,ALL wonderful websites in my humble opinion. I thank God for the many opportunities He’s supplied for me to write.
Dear readers if you haven’t been to helium, I say GO check it out, Helium is very helpful in giving writing ideas so writers block for a helium writer would be basically non-existent. If your interests are as diverse as mine, you too will surely find helium to your liking.
I would like to thank my friend jewelsofmine for reminding me of helium. (I had heard about it previously and I believe at one time in the past thought of joining but never did.) Anyway I have not only good ideas for writing at helium, but for writing in general. Dear readers if you are a helium member please let me know so I can go have a look at your work.
God bless all and take care.

I write on helium to. Let me know if I can help you. It’s a site worth its weight in gold to me. It’s talk me how to write better. True writers need the experience.

I have been writing there about a month, and am pleased with the income so far. It’s interesting writing for a given title, and I am enjoying it!

John,
I just finished your article here. Great article my friend. I’ve been thinking about submitting material to Helium, but I didn’t know that much about it. If its worthy of an article, such as yours, it must be worth checking into. thanks for the heads up buddy. Excellent article! Keep up the great writing.

There are a number of drawbacks to Helium:
1. You can’t withdraw your articles from Helium. Now, if you want to post them elsewhere online, this means you risk a duplicate content penalty from Google and potential loss of AdSense revenue.
2. Any site that ties up your articles and then refuses to pay you (if you don’t meet their criteria, such as maintaining one star and a certain article rating percentage), presents a challenge to writers who are short on time and may not be able to meet and maintain those requirements. A number of writers DON’T meet these requirements and Helium has effectively tied up their articles while keeping ALL the profits.
3. Because trained editors don’t rate the articles, article rankings are subjective.
4. Payment threshold. Helium requires that you have to earn a certain amount before paying you.
To be fair, Helium seems to be trying to improve but I would rather stick to a site that simply pays you, such a Triond, over having to jump through hoops to get paid and being forced to rate other articles, when your time is limited.

I actually think it is possible to remove (or at least edit) articles on helium. As for payment, I write to write, getting paid is merely a plus. The fact that editors don’t rate, gives us better initiative to take care of our own editing

John, I hope you are very happy there. Because of my very limited time I have not looked into it thoroughly. If I pick up one more site, Judy will never see her pillow. lol

I have joined helium today. But I am not sure of its monetary return.

I have recently joined Helium.. I am not established enough to make any comments about it yet. As for the money. I think all these writing sites are a joke. Two cents a day for spending hours at the computer, is not worth saying you “get paid.”

I have written on Helium for about six weeks now and have just gone over their payout threshold with just thirteen articles on there. Revenue from payment per click is poor, however they do give other incentives for writers such as an empty title bonus. The comments about the ratings made above are very relevant. I made several ratings in my first few days on Helium, but my enthusiasm has waned over the past month. If I loose my rating stars due to not rating other authors enough, that in turn means I will not get paid. Although, it might be argued that this is what makes Helium so successful, as it encourages writers to return to the site regularly. What I think is a particularly useful tool in Helium is the transparency of their payment system. You can see exactly what article is attracting the most clicks, and this could be useful in choosing your topics for writing on other sites.
From what I have read eHow is far more profitable and writers are not restricted by the necessity to rate, however as I am not a resident of the US (and therefore cannot sign up for eHow) I cannot say that for certain.
Just this past weekend I have signed up for Suite 101, so it will be interesting to see how that compares. There is no rating requirement there, which makes it a viable long term passive earner. They also provide valuable SEO training, which should have a positive knock-on effect on my earnings at other click driven sites. Time will tell I suppose!
