I’ve been interested in a career in writing for quite some time.  Only recently, due to unemployment and difficulty in acquiring a new job, have I decided to dust off the old keyboard and give it another shot.  In only two days of searching, I’ve found multiple resources designed to help me break into the freelance writing industry.  Unfortunately, natural cynicism and years of experience make it difficult to trust any website, let alone one that asks for money up front.  So far, Triond is the only trustworthy site I have found.  That being said, there are no guidelines whatsoever, and it takes time to learn what pays and what does not.  I never expected this to be easy, but I guess in spite of myself I got caught up in the hype of those first few websites.  They make it sound so simple.  Maybe it really is.  If I could just trust them enough to invest those few dollars, I’d be well on my way to making $200 to $500 per week.  Somehow, I doubt it.  I’ll keep looking, and submitting content.  Any comments or advice would be welcome.
