After you’ve created a number of articles, it pays to look over your related articles and group them into categories.
A neat phenomenon arises after you’ve created a number of online articles. You start to see a pattern: you’ll have, under your belt, a number of article topics that can be grouped into general article categories.
Often, article topics will be centered around what interests you. For example, a writer who is into health may find he has have written a number of health articles. Another writer might enjoy science topics and notices she has created a number of science articles.
When you scrutinize your related articles, mentally group them into article categories: writing, health, science, technology, news, celebrity, pets, biology, computers, Internet, blogging, etc. Why?
I mentioned in my recent article What Cobwebs and Articles Have in Common that a writer can submit an article to the Articlesbase directory and use that article to link to other articles. Now, if you keep your article categories in mind, when you submit an article to a directory, you will naturally link to your related articles.
A blogger or website owner needs content. This person visits an article directory and copy/pastes your article. Now, many Internet sites are centered around a main topic or even a hot niche topic. A blogger who has a technology blog will select, for example, tech articles. The blogger knows that people who read the blog do so to get specific tech information. People who are subscribed to this blog are also interested in tech subjects. If they’ve subscribed to the feed, they read the latest articles in a reader or recent published content is e-mailed to them. This is where things get exciting.
In essence, you’ve set in motion a chain of events: submitting your article to an article directory means your article works in the background for you. You are now in a position to see a significant increase in traffic and associated earnings.
You are a newer writer with a hobby. You decide to write a number of hobby articles sharing your insights. These articles can also be potentially lucrative. Whatever they are earning at Triond, once you submit a hobby article to an article directory, it may be picked up and placed on a number of blogs.
Hobbyists frequent hobby pages/sites, looking for information about patterns and general how-to’s. They read your article, enjoy your pointers, and you now have an audience for your hobby articles.
If you are considering submitting an article to an article directory, remember that this doesn’t have to be a difficult undertaking. Look over your article topics, mentally group them into article categories, then write an article and link to related articles in that particular category. View my recent article: How to Write Why Articles to see how links to my related Triond articles and an author bio are included in this article at Articlesbase.
Whether you are a seasoned freelancer or a newer writer, submitting your articles to an article directory is a sound method of article promotion. Sit back and watch a flood of traffic and earnings come in.

Hello,
Actually , if you can submit short articles to a number of article directories, your traffic potential will only increase. Submitting to more than one directory is good article marketing strategy. Just make sure, with any directory you use, they allow for links to your other articles. If you are able to or have the function in your browser, check the PR of the site because a higher ranking will produce better results.
Remember that online writing entails more that article creation. it may seem like a lot of work but it pays off months and years down the road.
