I love etymology and this article is a clear example of that. It is amazing how even though nothing really rhymes with ‘orange’ there still can be so many ways! Interesting to read and an even more engaging article because it got me thinking of any other words that don’t rhyme!

    “The Orange’s Origins”

    A short poem by – Dorian Perkins – (3-8-2010)

    A gorgeous…mormon…born…in Florence…
    named Lauren Jordin…sorted…the oranges…
    as it was stormin’…on mornin…
after pourin’…her soul…into the old organ.

    Then she gave them…to Doris…
    to give…to the orphans…
    to eat…with their porridge…
in the warmth…of the golden…forest…of origins

*See if you can find the words that rhyme with “orange”:)

OOPS!…IN THE ABOVE POEM…IT’S SUPPOSED TO SAY – “ONE” MORNIN’ (NOT “ON” MORNIN)!

    PLEASE EXCUSE THE TYPING ERROR.

    - DORIAN PERKINS (4-5-2010)

Hi, I wrote “Orange Rhyme” in the ’80s. It is one of my thousands of unpublished poems.
Still can’t think of a rhyme for “silver”.
