Why are your MyLot Discussions not getting a lot of responses, thus leaving you with little opportunities to respond to earn money? Well, they are not evergreen!
Many people struggle to earn a lot of money through MyLot discussions. They think the minimum payment is easy to obtain, but most of the time they realize that it’s hard work.
Well, the site specifically requires them to write quality posts. That means not only writing with good spelling and grammar, but also elaborating on why they are discussing something. That includes responses and discussion starters, the latter of which is discussed here. But there’s more to quality than posting thoughtful, descriptive, and maybe 3-5 sentence questions and other discussions. Quality posts for the most part are evergreen content.
You probably heard about such content being published on blogs and article sites, but the posts and articles have a lot in common. They don’t restrict the time (via using words like “last month,” “last year,” “two weeks ago,” etc.) of the writing, use topics that are relevant from the present to the future (like health, food, and gardening), and can be used all year.
Same with discussion posts in MyLot. If a starter falls into that content category, chances are that the responses would be posted, and continue to be posted well in the future.
Discussion A asks about the author’s personal problem, but he tells exactly when he has it and asks how he should remedy it. This garners some responses, but even with replies, he will not be able to earn that much by responding that much because he used a specific date.
Discussion B has the upper hand. The poster discusses about ways to fit in exercise in his or her busy schedule, thus starting a paragraph of his own experiences without dating the post, “For me, I…” He continues to write in the same manner that is not only understandable but also relevant for at least a few years. He almost constantly gets responses, most of which he gladly comments on.
Unlike Discussion A, Discussion B is an evergreen discussion because he asks a question that is still relevant in the future as the day he posted it.
Discussing views and opinions on current events is OK, but if you want the best earning potential, don’t just post quality discussions. Besides checking for typos and grammar and elaborating on it, make it evergreen content. Avoid statistics, prices, and such, if all possible. Don’t use words that describe the exact timeframe within a year or the exact number of years the event or experience happened. Write on topics that will never change.
If you follow the rule in creating a quality, thoughtful discussion, chances are that you will earn more in MyLot.
