Zen and the art of writing headlines deadly.

Ok, Zen has nothing to do with the post but writing good headlines is an art and can bring great benefits. I have written previously about the importance of titles, but still in post on other topics, this time the post is devoted entirely to titles. I admit that my qualifications are not the best and that is something on which we work, for the moment at least, are descriptive and do not damage but soon I will focus on the titles as I do for content.
Why is it important to write good titles
You might think that after all the content is more important than the title as the fabric is more important than the label of a garment and how this may be partly true, a good place with a good title is much more effective than a good post with a bland title. In the same way a post can be read not good if you have a title that attracts readers. What advantages brings a catchy title, curious, exciting, interesting?
1. The title comes first:
Obvious. And for this to be able to attract attention. With the amount of posts each day we pass under the eyes in news readers and Web 2.0 and social bookmarking sites has been calculated that an average reader takes 3 seconds to decide whether or not to read a post. Our place must stand fast and the quickest way is with what English speakers call bloggers picturesquely a killer title.
2. A good title helps the SEO:
Include the keyword in the title you use for your blog for a better indexing. Search engines are very sensitive to the securities and the permalink for that, if you care to stay high in the SERP, curatorship at the most. Even the search engines first appear the title of the post, even here, among so many choices, the average user selects the post with the title that attracts him most.
3. All posts with the best titles are linked more:
There is evidence that the posts with the best or most interesting titles are linked more frequently than others remaining more etched in memory. Also, a good title does not link the post with the generic “this post” but directly to his title, thereby improving its indexing.
How to write a killer title:
How to be a title to be deadly? There are several things to consider.
1. Short:
How much shorter, it being descriptive, the better. Remember that must be read and describe the content of the post in 3 seconds.
2. Must attract attention:
Easy to say, less than done. You can use phrases or famous quotes, word games (not too complicated to give more immediacy), sensational or controversial statements, data, shocking or surprising, jokes … There are many methods, the problem is not always able to find or what may seem funny or shocking to us may not be for others.
3. Simple:
Although using complicated or obscure titles may help in some cases, can tire the readers or confusing. Better the simple, more immediate and easier to make it descriptive.
4. Description:
Remember that the title is not an end in itself but is a reminder to read your post, then you know what else would you talk like an advertisement that does not describe the features of the product it advertises.
5. Must contain keyword:
Without exaggeration (remember “Before readers, after the engines”), often includes your keywords, as already written above.
