What Makes a Good Piece of Writing?

I consider a good piece of writing to be something that is interesting, informative, eye-catching, easy to read and humorous if appropriate.

The piece should be written to the requested specifications, the topic being researched thoroughly by various methods.

Using referenced quotes and bibliography keeps the writer fully focused, enabling her/him to produce good, honest, solid evidence, while not drifting away from the main issues; keeping him/her on track; thereby carrying the written piece forward fluently and successfully.

Motivation of the writer is most important, consequently interest in the said topic and further related topics would be most advantageous.

Personally speaking – Childcare – of all aged children – in different establishments and settings has given me clearer knowledge in practical terms, while enhancing my academic achievements.

The further use of theory and theorists supports my knowledge, understanding and capabilities of my subject material, enabling my writing manner to excel.
