Tips for a Fiction Writer

Need help writing a fictional story? This is your guide.

Hello there. Have you ever wanted to make a Fiction story to read to your friends, or maybe just to keep and look back at for memories? Well, here’s a few tips to help you along the way.

  1. Plan it out

This is probably the easiest step. First, you think about the story. What’s the plot? Who are the characters? What is the problem? Just plan it out on an A4 sized paper so you can check later. Spider Maps can be pretty useful.

  2. Put it all together

Like the sentence above suggests, put it together. When will the events happen? When will the characters be introduced? Make a summary for each chapter so you know what you will then write.

  3. Start Writing

Ok, so now you’ve planned it out and put it all together. Now, start writing out the rough copy of your story. This is helpful, because you can always proof- read it later when you are satisfied with how the story is, overall. Once you’ve done that, I’m sure you might have found a few things you might want to change.

  4. Almost there

Don’t give up, you’re almost done! This is the last step that should help you. Once you have finished writing the story, show it to a friend, a family member or whoever you want. Try to get some of their opinions on your story and see if you want to make any more changes.

  5. Congratulations!

That’s right, you’ve made a Fiction Story! Now, maybe you want to print it and put it with a nice cover. Oh, and don’t forget about the blurb! The blurb is what will make the audience interested in your book. It should tell a bit about what the book is about. But don’t give too much information!
