Research Once Write Many Articles

The ultimate goal of the online writer is choosing subjects that will inspire unique and interesting articles.  The best way to do this is through performing research.  By doing in-depth research once, an online writer can create many articles from 15 or 20 minutes of research.  Listed are steps I take to accomplish this task:

Choose a General Subject

I think the quickest way to hit a wall is to start out with a unmovable subject.  Staying general from the on start will give the online writer somewhere to go with the subject.  Let’s say the subject is ‘Making Money Online.’  The research of this subject can yield hundreds of articles, cause there is so many places to go with it.  The key is to do such a good job at the research that the articles will flow and not take days to complete, but, mere minutes.

The Research

Doing research for your articles can be quite easy, if you take a simple approach.  As an online writer, you have the benefit of having thousands of websites that cover just about any subject under the sun.  When researching, it’s a matter of finding the website that gives the most interesting facts on your chosen subject.  I suggest choosing five such sites.  Open each to a different tab, then, read the information from all five sites; by the time you have read all five, you will have so much information that you can write on the subject for days.  But, you just want to get 5 to 10 articles out of the deal, which can be written as individual pieces or used to create a series.

Narrowing the Subject

Now, that you have researched the subject and have all kinds of information in your head, it’s time to narrow down your subject.  ’Making Money Online’ is so very broad that when people see that title, they tend to just pass over it, but, if the subject is narrowed down, then, it speaks to specific persons.  Even though the information is basically the same you can create many article just by pinpointing an interested group.  Just a few ideas:

Making Money Online for Stay at Home Moms

Making Money Online for College Students

Making Money Online for People Without a Computer

Making Money Online for Teens

Even those titles can be narrowed down to create more articles, for example, “Making Money Online for Stay at Home Moms” can be taken to another level:

How Stay at Home Moms Can Make Money Online with Ebay

How Stay at Home Moms Can Make Money Online with Blogs

Stay at Home Moms Making Money Online Writing Articles

Can Stay at Home Moms Make Money Online with Avon?

The potential to create infinite articles from researching once is phenomenal.

Giving it a Personal Touch

It’s always a good idea to interject some personal experience into any article.  But, there may be times that you are researching an article that you have no real personal experience with, but, your interest in the subject was so strong that you chose to research it.  It’s alright.  Let your passion for the subject come out and the reader will feel it.  Since, you are an online writer, you probably won’t have a problem giving a personal take on making money online; the how to’s and heartbreaks.

Benefit of Writing Many Articles from Researching Once

So, you have all of this information and all these articles.  What should you do with them?  Many online writers write for more than one content service, so, it is a good idea to not just copy and paste your articles to other sites, but, create twists to artilces.  Write different articles and link them with articles that you have published on other sites.  This will give you much needed exposure and readers will have the opportunity to read more of your work.  As I mentioned before, you can use these articles in a series – parts 1 – 10 on ‘How to Make Money Online.’  You can, also, choose to create a niche blog with those articles.  The possiblities are endless.  Enjoy.
