How to write preliminary project report.
There are several components of a preliminary project report. These are objectives, justification, description, resources, time-frame schedule, cost, application etc. Depending on the type of project, one or more components might not be there in your report. In later paragraphs, main components of a preliminary project report are explained.
First of all, objectives are to be defined. What you will try to achieve in your project. In which results your project will conclude.
Justify all your thoughts and techniques, such that they will result in your desired objectives defined previously. In this portion, you ca give the benefits the techniques, algorithm, equipment over the older ones that have been used previously, or that ones you are using the best for your project.
Describe the whole project briefly. Main purpose, how you will carry out the project, main steps involved in the project, how each step will be carried out.
In preliminary project report, also give your resource, from where you would get help, your required data, and hardware and/or software availability and from where you will get technical assistant required in the project.
You are to give the timeframe in which you will complete your project. You can also provide a schedule according to which you will carry out, that is in how much period you will stand where.
Provide the estimated cost of your project; you can also give the cost of individual components involved in your project.
Show that your project is industry oriented has vast applications in the industry. This project is flexible for future growth, which is possible in term of new developments.
