What’s one way to ensure success for yourself and help nearly every other Triond Writer?
We often read through Triond articles for writing tips or write our own articles and share our observations with the Triond family of writers.
We have a great community at Triond with dedicated writers and newbies who persevere, pecking away at their keyboards, working to grow monthly earnings.
And we appreciate it when others take the time to comment on our articles.
Now, as you continue to write for Triond and read through the different articles, you not only learn tips and tricks but these very articles keep you inspired to keep plugging away writing for Triond. As time goes on, you make friends, you add them, others become your fans, and so on.
The process doesn’t end there, however. If you take the time to comment on someone’s article, one that leaves you feeling awestruck or that impresses you because of good writing, great information, nicely arranged pictures or helpful links and resources, why not take it a step further?
I know, by now you’re thinking, Athlyn, come on already, get to the point.
Okay, where was I?
Oh yes, I remember. I was saying that you’ve come across an article and it really knocks you out. You’ve been supportive and have taken the time to comment.
There’s something else you should be doing . . .
Ta da!
Now, you may be thinking: Hmm . . . isn’t that promoting someone else’s article?
Let me explain . . .
You now have the skinny on a Triond writing sescret that most would have never guessed. Show your support for those excellent articles with more than just comments!

Athlyn, I’ve been doing this already with the articles I really like. I tell the author that I have submitted their article to either Digg, StumbleUpon, or Delicious because it was a quality article that deserves screen time. Some authors have written me back to say thanks…I think it really encourages them! If many of us do this with say, one article per week, our sites will receive a lot more readership, and we will all benefit. I would surely be excited if someone Dugg one of my articles!!!

Very good info. I’ll try it.

Ya, good points here! We’re here helping each other to increase traffics. The more quality articles are produced at Triond, the more traffics will be directed to this website, which in turns will benefit us in terms of payment, pageview and readership. So, please stumbleupon, digg any good quality articles here!
Thanks and take care!

I love this article! When a site is REALLY good, nothing can hold it down. As it grows, I notice more articles written about it, in Google’s search engine. It is up to US to make this site the BIGGEST writing opportunity on the internet! It IS possible – because our TRIOND COMMUNITY is extraordinary!!
Best wishes and blessings to all!
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.

Another wonderful and helpful article, Athlyn. You have given great suggestions that we can all benefit from.
October 15th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
Wow! What great comments! You guys make it worth the hard work.
The four sites I mentioned seem to currently have the most “stickiness.”
October 15th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
Athlyn, you deserve a standing ovation! I applaud your suggestion! There’s an old saying in my family, “what goes around, comes around!” (This is actually based on a verse in the Bible, Galatians 6:7) may you reap a barnful for this one!At any rate, a first rate piece of advice! I am going to take your suggestion and send this article right off!

Hi Catelin,
Thanks so much. I think it’s important that we all help one another. Success is not won by stepping on shoulders, no, rather by rubbing shoulders.
October 15th, 2008 at 11:54 pm
Wow great idea!
I think that, as a community, we should help each other, and this is one of the best ideas I have read.
Keep going,
Gon.

I know that every once in awhile I come across an article that just grabs me–and I try to share that article with others.
I also link to good articles at my blogs because this also drives traffic to the Triond site.

nice idea…thanks for sharing..take care…

I routinely send articles I enjoy to my non-triond friends and family and then let the author I know that I enjoyed the work and forwarded it. Thanks again for the great information.
Blessings to you,
Chris

Great idea. Let’s all get in a habit of showcasing our friends.

Simple, yet powerfully on target!

As a newbie this is great info. Thanks!

I’ve just thought of another benefit: Some of these communities seem to gauge members’ participation. If we are bookmarking or Digging others’ articles and not just our own, we stand a better chance of our accounts remaining active and not being terminated or of having our articles buried because we are viewed as spammers or self-promoters.
December 30th, 2008 at 1:46 pm
‘gauge members’ participation’
I recently was invited to be a moderator for a group on one of the social bookmarking sites because of my posting activity to that group…
…you can create your own opportunities…

Way to go, Ken!

Hi I am a very new newbie, got nothing written on yet, but need to start very soon.
Any suggestions for first article?
Help gratefully received.

Write about something you know or something you are passionate about.
December 30th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
That’s true! Anyone can benefit from promotion of each article here!
December 31st, 2008 at 5:09 am
I love this idea of supporting one another and giving credit where credit is due. I think we all need to feel part of a greater community and that by helping and supporting one another we ultimately create a supportive and helpful environment for ourselves.
thank you Athlyn for reminding us of a fundamental truth.

Hi Diasymay,
I really appreciate it when someone takes the time to Stumble or Digg one of my articles. This in turn leads me to show similar appreciation by taking time to do the same with well-crafted articles.
We are a community and it makes sense to pull together.
December 31st, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Athlyn,
Great article. I always make sure and at least stumble the articles I like. It’s amazing how much traffic stumble upon can bring in even with only a couple ‘Thumbs Up!’
Being a webmaster for a few content websites, I track my traffic, and a significant amount (20-35%) comes from stumble upon alone.
Hopefully the community can all do this to help build up all of our views!

Very nicely put and good information for all of us here. It does us no good if we are the only ones reading our articles.

Wow, awesome article!

Stumbled it
April 12th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Well, Athlyn is right, you know. I may have missed this first time around but recently I was looking through an SU member’s stumbles (not, I might add a friend on there, just doing some stumbling of my own!) and there it was. So, click, click!
So, proof positive!

Hello Everyone,
There’s another aspect to consider, which I call the rule of three. For every article of your own you Stumble, Stumble 3 other quality articles: that way you won’t be viewed as a spammer and when you do submit an article it will help it to be read because people will see that you are contributing great content.
May 1st, 2009 at 2:34 pm
I agree, The more everyone on Triond promotes an reads others articles, the more traffic Triond will get an help Us all.
If You guys know anything about SEO “search engine optimization” it uses links, traffic, content an keywords to place Your site in a certain page rank. by digging adding to blogs an other network sites You are creating links back to triond publishers websites, the more link they have the better pagerank they will get an ultimatly, the more traffic Are articles an content will have.
I.e learn some SEO it really helps, for any website You have not just triond.

I think it is important to bookmark quality articles because others see them like what you are doing. It helps you to gain traction in the online world.
I believe in helping other people and by doing so, helping yourself.
October 10th, 2009 at 7:07 pm
Good tip that, I agree, most people would not consider.
