Marking Your Own Work

I know how irritating it can be to have hours of hard work stolen and misused. So I am writing this article to try and help you save yourself a lot of trouble and frustration. There are certainly a lot of ways to do this, and I will give you a few samples of how to. If you don’t have any software that helps create graphics, to work with, you can use your camera or scanner.

If you are using a newer camera with the ability to put a name on the picture, that would be a good choice to use.

If you use a more simple camera, or maybe using older photos, you must be using a scanner in order to load your photos into your computer.You can use a small cut out under the photo to label it. Just lay the piece of cutout paper under the photo when you scan it and it will mark the scanned results with out having to mark the actual photo. If you are worried that it will take away from the article you are writing you are wrong. It will let your readers know that you are honest and sincere when it comes to your work. If you are showing your photos or graphics online, it will help keep them from being stolen. Besides you can be very creative, make it sort of a logo that describes you,and use the same mark each time. Marking your work with your own personal web presence is a good way of protecting yourself online. If you have a web site you own the name. print it some where on the photo. It doesn’t have to take a lot of space,or even be fancy, It just has to be yours.I have a program, {paint shop pro x } I use it to make graphics.

There are other programs out their that are not as expensive or even take as much time to learn that you can use.{ Just type art software in your search browser and it will give you plenty of choices.}The thing I like about paint shop prox is that you can layer what ever it is you are doing and you can trap your logo inside.You can also trap your web space name inside.{If you don’t know what I mean bye layer , you can put layers of writing or drawings one on top of the other and then merge them back to one layer. that way you can trap a visible mark into your photo or graphic.} If you have or purchase this software, thereare plenty of free classes on the web. It is a pretty complicated program. I took classes. The point I want to make is that If I go to all the trouble of sitting down and spending my day writing an article It is mine. If I create anything, I want the choice of saying how it is used.But also when you take care of your things other people take notice. The same with your art work.If you use the same mark each time, people will begin to realize who’s work it is just by one glance.I had an art teacher that told me” it doesn’t matter if a person actually has talent. It does matter if the artist puts their heart into their work. It will show as a bit if life that will not go unnoticed”. I want people to know when a piece of work is mine. The best way I know to make that happen is to leave my mark on or in it.I am sure there are other ways of marking your work, but the important thing is that you do mark it. It makes it easier for others know that you own it, and it also helps keep others from stealing it.

I love to read. especially if the author is really the author. And I love art, when the piece belongs to the person claiming it.
