How to write better stories.
I think a person has to want to really get involved in his work when he writes. If a person is blocked he can reflect on so many other ideas that he can elaborate on, so that he can keep up to date with his topic. There is no such thing for me like running out of what to say or not knowing what to put down on paper. There are endless possibilities especially of you have wide educational base and keep it that way. Eventually you might find a niche that will bring you to popularity but the goal should be the pleasure of writing something fulfilling like an English language guide when you feel that there are so many people out there who would appreciate knowing the ins and outs of that language.
Outlines help but are not mandatory. I never had an a classical outline but have jotted down some ideas that I went with or put them once I found out where I was going. In other words the writer shouldn’t feel ahained to a previous thought if he thinks he is not going to get anywhere with it. It helps to ask questions about what you want your main character to do to reach his goal or what intrigue you would like to add to make you story more interesting.
You might even what to break out of a particular form if you feel confined, Io met an author who avoided classical sentence structures in his play. He was trying to make a point that the play wasn’t about proper grammar but about a common conversational thread between the characters. That was his choice and he developed it into a play. You may choose something that makes the language of your characters work better for you.
