For those who cannot come up with something to write, here are some ideas to get you started. Some are Debate type Topics, others are sentences for you to develop into poems or stories.
TOPICS
- Which is more important, curing cancer or world human overpopulation?
- Should religion be treated as an addiction?
- Is breakfast really the most important meal of the day?
- Which form of music is worse, Rap, or Hip Hop?
- How is the worst thing you have done better than what others do?
- Should babies (children under 1 year of age) be allowed to be placed in day cares?
- If people had to qualify to have children what would those qualifications be?
- Should High Schools stop teaching Trigonometry?
- What age should children be allowed cell phones, if at all?
- Should parents who allow their children to become obese be charged with abuse?
- Which is more important, the Arts, or Sports?
- Does playing violent video games encourage people to act on their own anger in real life?

If a picture is worth a thousand words, write a story using this one, just make sure you give credit to myself for using this image.
FIRST SENTENCES
- I awoke not knowing what day it was, or where I was.
- The tree appeared to be so full of birds that it was being swallowed.
- We had been trapped on the island for three months, was it time to start thinking about procreation?
- The skies opened up and for the first time, I saw the sun.

- The car slowly rolled to a stop, and the man that stepped out gave me shivers up my spine.
- Our long. Playful, summer had drawn to an end and he/she was about to go back to their home in the city.

It is good advise. I liked it. I will refer to it often, if and when I get stuck. Right now, I am blessed with writing a science fiction sage that just keeps growing and allowing me to extend my creativity but I always seem to run out of steam when i stay in between the lines for my nonfiction pieces.

There’s an iGoogle gadget that is great for writer’s block. Also sometimes the Shakespearian insulter generates some great ideas! I also use some of the Art of the Day iGoogle apps to inspire me.
