I had been flooded with questions from friends and acquaintances on how to write an article. Though, it would be somehow impossible to answer each query separately, I decided to write an article which would help others know few pointers on how to write an article.
Before you even start writing an article, you probably have to decide on the number of words you would put in an article.
The best articles, however, should be around 400 words, unless you had been instructed to write more than that.
Once you decide upon the number of words that you would use in your article, pick an idea and focus on issues related to the idea. Try and form a general opinion about the concerned idea. Take the help of search engines and magazines to form a concrete opinion and pile a stock of information about the chosen idea.
Now you ready to write an article.

The first thing that you need to do is choose an article title. Make sure your article title is more direct, rather than a plain flimsy sentence. The article title should be clear enough for the readers to know what the article has in store for them.
Then you need to write a small opening paragraph which actually summarizes the entire article. The paragraph should not be more than 5 sentences.
The opening paragraph is followed by the article body. The article body opens with an introduction paragraph of 5 sentences.
Once you finish writing the introductory paragraph, you would come down to the most significant part of the article, the supporting paragraph.
The supporting paragraph is the most important phase of the article. To write a supporting paragraph requires a skill where you describe in brief the important details you had stated in the introductory paragraph. The description should only relate to the sentences you had stated in the introductory paragraph.
Finally, you end your article with a concluding article summary. The concluding paragraph should be a closing summary of the entire article. The closing summary should be little different from the opening summary.
Choosing a resource box at the end would be a good way to end the article. Resource box is a section in the article where you mention informative website addresses. Though, it should not be considered mandatory.
