Can you rely on this site to pay you for what you write?
A lot of writers in the Philippines are searching for freelance writing jobs online. The problem with most international writing sites is their unavailability in the Far East, and those that extend their services to such regions have payout options that simply take too much hassle in those countries.
What is it?
Essays is a local website (Philippine-based) that provides home-based freelance writing jobs for anyone in the country. Their main focus is producing keyword-optimized web content on various topics listed down in the main page. Since these are not academic papers, then submissions do not need to be highly technical and research on the topics does not need to be extremely intensive.
How do you get writing assignments?
Unlike other sites that go through a rather long bidding process or that put your articles up on display waiting for customers, this site has a list of available items to write about provided for in their page. Qualified writers take jobs on a first-come first-served basis. The first one to claim a project gets the job, so it’s a sure win. And unlike other sites that cater to customers who may or may not pay the writers depending on how satisfied they are with the work they are given, here one only has to wait for the approval of the board. Once the article is approved, the writer immediately gets his credits.
What are the payment options
The site pays through bank transfer to virtually any bank in the Philippines. All you need is a bank account, and you’re good to go. You can withdraw your earnings any time, even daily. Special bonuses are also added if you cash out a bulk amount, say, 4000 pesos, at once.
Are they legit?
Yes, they are. Although there might be some negative comments on forums around the net, they do pay their writers. The fee may not be too lucrative, but it’s higher than most sites that pay per click – and generates income way faster.

how do they give assignments?
i was asked to do a trial project, I send it but I was not able to get assigned topics as of now… I opted to become an e-mail based writer. Are you also a writer at essays.ph?

To zeronopebl,
I read your blog and, as I think you are a responsible writer who express your feelings in a proper way, it\’s just not responsible and proper to judge a company with an air of authority. You can\’t just write whether a company makes a fool out of people or not since you don\’t speak for the majority of people. It\’s indeed easier to spread a bad word.
What if somebody badmouths you, how would you feel? The reputation that you built for a long time gets destroyed in seconds, before you can even defend yourself. That was just what you tried to do with EPH.

well, you can say that since i think you haven\’t been in EPH yet, but i\’m not the only one who feels just as that. in fact, a lot of people are complaining about them, and some aren\’t even paid at all. what i\’m pointing in my post is that the next time they will offer a job position they should be as transparent as possible and not lure people with their vague, unreal promises. they should explain first and foremost EVERYTHING before the applicant will submit the pre-employment project. and by the way, if you think i\’m badmouthing them (though i never said a word), and with my experience from the inept staff, then they deserve it.

To zeronopebl,
I signed up with EPH to look further into your sentiment and, in contrast, I’ve been paid well in my assignments. So far I haven’t received any revision requests regarding my submissions, that’s why I have been paid promptly and accurately. I’ve come to the conclusion that following assignment details to the dot is the key to getting paid well in EPH.

i am a writer for eph and i make an easy php600 a day. for those who thought that you would be paid php300 for a 500-article then you are probably on the dreaming side of the world. hindi naman yan foreigner no. they need fast, efficient writers who could pass high-quality articles. if you have not yet been paid for your works YET, you would be. i can’t see any problems with eph. i could make more than 15k every month with them. if you’re not satisfied with 300 pesos a day but cannot make ten 500-word articles, then i suggest that you look for another freelance writing job. just beware of scams and clients that don’t even have the intention of paying you for your works.

Not exactly a scam, but their rates are pretty insulting. There are other better writing jobs out there.

Always be careful on scam sites. Check the sites read forums to know peoples experiences. It’s really disappointing when your giving your best on scam site. Good thing I got legit online job at staff.com.
