Have you ever wondered how other students get excellent marks and you just fail? Then you haven’t tried out one of the most amazing and efficient tools for studying have you. It is the pen. You should use a pen because you will make fewer spelling mistakes, you won’t need to sharpen your pencil and you’ll be writing more cleanly.
First of all when you use a pencil you will know that you can make mistakes and that it won’t be too bad since you are able to correct it without having to mess everything up. At first it seems to be a good thing but this habit won’t improve your spelling skills. Now imagine you were holding a pen. You would be thinking much more about the spelling of the words you want to write because you know that you will otherwise have to cross out the mistake which doesn’t look very good. All the words will be memorized much better. This will improve your spelling skills and your writing speed since you won’t have to think much about every word because you have already memorized it.
Secondly you won’t have to sharpen your pencil since you are using a pen. At first it seems as if this isn’t important. However a lot of students sharpen their pencils in class conversation which wastes precious learning time. Both teachers and students would have a better lesson when using a pen. The extra studying time results in better marks and easier teaching.
Lastly pens are cleaner. As mentioned above pens improve the spelling skills of a student. A lot of teachers claim that pens are unclean because you can’t erase it. However later on at work the boss will look at two reports one full of eraser lint and one cleanly written with a pen. The usage of pens cheating too. Thus one common cheat is to erase signatures. This is impractical when using a pen decreasing the chance of cheating. That is also why contracts are written or printed with ink and the signature is written with a pen.
After you have read this I hope you understand the importance of using a pen. I advise you to use a pen whenever possible. It will come useful in the future. As education can be accessed more easily around the world not only knowledge is a factor in the job employment. Clean handwriting and spelling skills are a major adjustment to plain knowledge.

The use of a pencil really goes back to the times when I was a pupil. Then, I started to use a pen and I haven´t stopped using it to the extend of forgetting that pencils exist! My favourite one is the classical BIC one no matter how many more modern and fancy ones come up in the market. I really enjoyed your article. Thanks for sharing.
