As a teenager that’s too young to work at Wal-Mart, I sadly write for Triond.
You know what I hate about Triond? The pay.
Three months ago, I wasn’t be worried about getting paid. I didn’t care if I made one dollar or ten dollars, I just liked to write, make friends, and get acknowledged of my presence as a writer.
But now, as a teenager about to be in soccer, and in need of a new computer, I realised that I absolutely need some form of money. However, I don’t have a job, and all the money I make off of my writing is not even enough to buy some gum from Wal-Mart.
Instead of writing for Triond, I could just become a ghost writer for elance, or Bukisa. But unfortunately, those doors are closed. I am apparently “too young” for that. According to the Bukisa TOS, their service is closed for those people under eighteen. What about elance? I just don’t have a chance at it. I’d still be too young for them to let me in their high paying network.
I could however go into writing for Associated Content, but wait, they don’t pay minors do they? No, they’re worse then Wal-Mart. At least in Wal-Mart I can get a job at sixteen! That’s just one more year of waiting. But in order to have some money in my pocket, I need some kind of a job, right?
I could do other things rather than write to make money. I could sell gum under the threat of getting expelled from the school I worked so hard to get into, bet on stuff, or just go around stealing other peoples’ money. But, I’m one of those goody two shoes who don’t do all that crap. I earn money honestly.
From the last few months on Triond, I have made a total of about five dollars and eighty seven cents. However, that isn’t enough for the amount of content I’ve provided for Triond.
But why am I telling you all of this? All you readers probably don’t even know what it’s like in the life of a teenager trying to make his own life. Y’all just want to know what I hate about Triond. It’s either that, or you just ended up here on accident.
Well, since I just told you my writing experience, you can probably understand why I hate Triond. It’s pretty much my only chance of making some extra money. True, I sound like an idiot complaining about all his problems, but what can I do? I’m bored as hell, frustrated as hell, and I’m just in a complaining mood.
Triond is probably the only choice for unskilled fifteen year old writers like me. But the thing that sucks is the fact that we can’t make much money in the first place. Some of us need money and our dignity, and the only way that we can keep both is through writing for Triond.
Us teens have never had that many opurtunities in the first place, online or offline. In order to sell stuff online, we need some form of tax information (that we don’t have). In order to make some money in the real world, a person needs to be at least sixteen years old. But why do we lack oppurtunities that people one year older than us lack?
Whatever the reason is, it’s really messed up.

How much content have you written on Triond? My earnings have gone up tremendously since writing a few more articles. I now make around 30-80 cents a day! Before it was like 5-10 cents so it is a big increase!
You might need some tips! Luckily I do have an article published where you can double or even triple your article earnings and you could use them on this article too or every one of yours!

I do agree that the pay is incredibly depressing on Triond but I do agree with shaf masta about writing loads. Before I only earned about 5 cents per day but now I’m earning a dollar and more per day. Yeah, fair enough it isn’t loads of dosh but hey, nearing the end of one month I have $40 doing what I love, I’m not complaining! Keep writing and promoting and it will REALLY pay off and build up a network on Triond – all the right ingredients for ultimate success.
