Will The Internet Reach a Content Limit?

Never! The amount of content available on the internet will be always growing as a faster pace each day because of the number of people with mobile phones to take photos with the number of websites where you can publish content to them and also because of the increasing number of people with internet connection.

If you imagine that someday the facts are all written down, you always have the unknown unpredictable future of the news. There is always new news for you to publish and even if you run out of ideas about things to write, you always have the news where you can’t use imagination, unless you mix the news with an opinion, and you want to give just the facts. The hard thing about writing about news is the insane competition. You have big people doing is such as The Daily Telegraph and big blogs like Mashable doing it too. Can you outsmart those guys with better content?

The problem is no one can tell you for sure what good content is, they usually publish whatever comes to their mind and leave that part for the editors and the end user.

Some years ago with the development of Dreamweaver and all it’s advanced tools (for that time in 2003) I thought there would be no way to make web publishing much better. Well today we have the power of Wordpress publishing and in the future we may have Superpress with automatic publishing and automatic writing who knows.

As Wordpress gets better I believe there will come a day where the number of pages published will not be on Trillion, but one Trillion for each person that ever lived on earth. Will search engines have money to buy hard disks big enough to store the index of all that content? Will Google still be around at that time?
