Have you noticed a decline in your views on the Daily viewing chart? Here are some common reasons why:
If you have “Dugg” or Stumbledupon an article of yours and they have been giving you good viewers. After a few weeks they stop pinging to your Article! So you need to re-submit it. I know this is the case with both Digg and Stumbleupon. Having just re-submitted some of mine again!
Is your article something that once read, doesn’t really need perusing again? That could be the cause of a dip in views. Your articles need to be something that you can update regularly which the same people will come back and check, and new people will be drawn too. Guide for games are sometimes the best example of these.
If your article was about a specific event that was interesting everyone at a certain time – and that time has passed, it may decline in views since no one is really interested anymore. You should make your articles more open to future perusal, especially if it is a re-occurring event.
Similar to “Not as Appealing” your article could be on a topic either about a person, website or anything that no longer exists. And therefore the article seems pointless to read.
If your article is boring, your initial rush of people may leave bad comments which in the recent comments section could prevent people clicking to see what article it was on. I know if i see a comment like “GREAT Article” I check it out also! Whilst never clicking a “Poorly written” comment. Make sure your article is interesting and well written to make sure people Like it and leave good feedback

I mostly agree with you on the points you made on your article, especially on the third point. It applies to what I dub ephemeral and deciduous content, the opposites of evergreen content (which earns a steady amount of views in the long run). Ephemeral content includes the current news and deciduous content include articles on Christmas. Writing too much on them really earns you less views.
