Why You Should Not Write for Associated Content

Reason why associated content is garbage.

Do not write for associated content. Shier customer service is horrible and that’s just for starters. They only pay US residents, which is another huge downfall. They only offer very small upfront payments for the articles that you submit, and once you do, you can’t use them anywhere else. They delete perfectly good content that is written and do not let you have access to it after it is deleted. It us a useless website and they take no responsibility for their actions nor give you an explanation for why certain articles do no get published or deleted.

Shier performance payment program is also useless, because it is in beta and they threaten that at anytime they can cancel your payments and the program in general and keep your articles after you have worked so hard to publish and produce them. The worst part about associated content, is they make way more than what they pay you. You could easily publish the articles that you write with associated content and use adsense and search engine optimization and make what they are making, but instead, they decide to own your article and pay you pennies and don’t even guarantee your articles will remain online for the duration of their beta program. Associated content is a huge waste of time.

Alex, sorry that you’ve not had good luck with Associated Content. I’m sure that there is a good explanation for your difficulties and if you would contact the admin dept they’ll help you figure it out. You can also check the FAQ (which is very helpful) at this link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/home_faqs.shtml
Hundreds of other people publish their articles on AC every day without issue and are doing great combining upfront payments and performance payments. If there’s more to your story, please share it!

Good of you to write up your experience. I had thought to use it but decided not to. I’m using Bukisa now for articles as the standards appear higher as users rate articles and some bad ones were removed recently. They show up more in searches and also get better revenue. They’re also not interfered with and altered like Triond tend to do. Here’s a referral link if you want to try it and support me at the same time?
