Why I Am Not Including Images in Articles

There are a lot of articles telling us how to write our own articles (an article about writing articles sounds like a coffee table book about coffee tables).

Article about writing articles

This article is not going to tell you, or anybody else how to write and what to do – author of this article is only going to write his opinion and nobody should follow his steps. Main reason why this article is not going to teach you anything about how to write your own articles is that everyone should find his own way, his (or hers, doesn’t matter) own path and follow his own interest.

Writer

First of all, I am not a photographer, not a professional, not an amateur photographer. I don’t even do a graphic design or anything like that. I am, or should I say, I want to be a writer – professional, amateur – doesn’t matter. And I want my articles, my writings to be published so that everybody who wants (and who doesn’t wants) can read it.

Readers

Someone wrote that putting images, video, and multimedia in your articles makes them better, makes them publish faster. I do not agree – it only makes them publish slower. Also, images attract audience, readers. It sounds to me just the same as little children are attracted to shiny things, objects – and little children do not have enough life experience to see if this shiny thing is good or bad. I like to consider my audience, my readers (if there are any) as smart, intelligent, educated people who can recognize quality and good writing.
