Some characteristics of Triond Writers that I, as a newbie, have been noticing these last few weeks.
Newbie – innocent in most stuffs about Triond; comments on other articles as “this is super awesome ma’am” or “this is the most amazing thing sir”; can’t decide on a permanent penname and profile picture; always spends time going back and forth between the Dashboard and Earnings tab.
Veteran – publishes few but very top-ranking articles; always comments on posts professionally (and you can also feel the exotix intonation); rarely reads the articles of others.
All-Ever Popular – generally hates newbies; their articles dominate the hot-stuff list; pen names all over Triond.
Wise Ass – has article titles like “Get $100 easily” or something like that; loves making fake comments and puts links to his article even it has no connection whatsoever.
Nice – the gentlest creatures on the comment box; all of his comments are too nice, you will wonder if he really understood that your article was about the massacre of your toenail.
For Mayor – has 100x more friends than articles published; likes adding people on a first-seen instance; treats Triond as a social networking site; spends most of the time reading and sending messages.
Blogger – all articles are about himself and his ever adventurous life; gets two to three page views because of this.
The Rat – exclusively views Triond as a money-making site –not about writing and sharing your ideas with the world; publishes different qualities of articles because of this; votes and comments on his own articles.
Ghost – rarely publishes an article; rarely seen in Triond; heck, even in surfing the net.
Normal – nothing interesting to tell about him; publishes average numbers of articles; comments on an average basis; gets average pageviews per day…
Me, I think I’m 50% Newbie and partly the Rat and Normal. How about you?

I am not even sure I fit into any of these categories. The ghost is interesting though. There are a few on my page that never write. And then there are some that have like 10,000 friends and never comment. great ideas.

Hehehe! I’m a ghost at the moment.
You must be well aware by now that most people at triond are “rats running for mayor”

I guess, I’m still a “newbie-ghost.”

Possibly a bit of everything, though feel a bit left out as I don’t think I’m really any one of these more than another. Maybe there is another category you’ve forgotten.

I’m for the main part a normal Triond character – I usually write articles most of the time and comment on others (my articles, in response to those who comment on it). I describe some newbies as those who merely post ephemeral (including news stories) and deciduous (seasonal) content as opposed to evergreen!

I guess writers on here vacillate from one character to another at different points in time. Ako? Kung ang normal ay nothing interesting to tell about him, siguro ako, abnormal. There are so many interesting things to tell about me! heheh…
