What Triond Has Against Ruby Hawk?

Lately it seems Triond has a death wish. Once they finally started to move in the right direction – they try shooting themselves in the leg by banning Ruby?

I actually was not going to publish anything in Triond soon. I am still angry about how they published my article “Will you want me on Facebook” and then took it off my account (so it is published and they are making profit out of it, not me). This is also why I published it on expertscolumn, and gave you a link to the EC version.

However, today I found out Triond did such a great mistake that I have to say something.

When I logged into my Facebook account today I noticed Ruby Hawk status. For those few of you that are no familiar with Ruby: Ruby is a well known and admired writer here on Triond. She has great articles that most of us can only envy in and she is one of the few “founder” writers of Triond that are still active.

In her Facebook status Ruby mentions that she can no longer publish on Triond. Triond is accusing her with plagiarism! Yes, Ruby that has over 1000 articles, over 500,000 views, over 50 referrals, and Ruby that writes for Triond for more than 2 years – this Ruby is accused in “publishing duplicated content”, and therefore is not allowed to publish any new work.

This is bullsh*t (I’m sorry for the language). And I expect Triond to fix things immediately and apologise in front of Ruby for accusing her in such a thing.

This week started with Triond banning multiple accounts of spammers, and giving me some hope for Triond’s future. However, getting rid of the spam, while being a step in the right direction, is not enough. Triond must maintain its good writers and motivate them to write more for Triond. Sending them away by miss-behaving them will do Triond no good!

Ruby Hawk is, without doubt, the most prominent writer on Triond. The last I heard, Ruby Hawk’s profile page had the highest Google Page Rank of any Triond writer. Losing her would be a big mistake.

Are you kidding me…? Why would Triond ban Ruby? Triond relies on big names that draw in the views, and they ban one of the few active ones. Yeah, way to go Triond… Sorry to hear it. Hopefully it gets fixed in the meantime.

Oh Dear, this looks a bad mistake by Triond. Have been a fan of Ruby’s for years. They better reconsider.

Gosh – and I’m one of Ruby’s biggest fans! She writes unique content, but Triond punishes her for plagiarism! How horrible!

I would agree with you all Ruby has contacted me and I have contacted her back. I have managed to get into her articles and send her a comment and given her my personal email. I do hope that Triond has just made a genuine mistake and look forward to seeing Ruby back in mu comment box soon. She has been an inspiration to me and would be a great loss to Triond. I did not know this. This is horrible. I hope Triond man’s up, gives Ruby back her rights with a bonus. Don’t punish the great writers of this community!

I am sorry to hear what Ruby is experiencing. But this can happen to original writers. It happened to me. I wrote an article for eHow when it was alive, and they sent it back to me, saying that I was plagiarizing another author’s works, and they gave me his name. I looked him up, as I had never heard about him, and I read a couple of his articles on a similar or same (don’t remember now) topic. Yes, we DID sound alike in our expressions of the topic, and our thoughts. I was stunned. He was a famous writer. I was also honored in that I could write so well as to be confused with him! I redid much of the article and sent it back, and it was published with no further problems. Thoughts belong to everyone, and while you may “steal” someone else’s thoughts who are published (and I did not), and put them in your own words, that is not plagiarism. You have to write word for word for I don’t know how long, before you can be called a plagiarist of copyrighted material. At the very least, Triond and any writer’s site should give her the name of who they accuse her of plagiarizing, and the article or book she plagiarized from. It is unfair to accuse someone of this with no evidence. That is defamation of character. But they (writer’s sites) can close any account they choose, and are not accountable to you, me, or anyone, as long as they do not violate their own policies/agreements. I daresay they are completely covered in that aspect. Most writer’s sites will work with a good author to solve the problem, rather than just throw them off the site. This is not good PR for any company.

This makes no sense whatsoever. I think this is just more proof that Triond is on the decline.

good luck getting Triond to contact you. Didnt’ know they had a staff. I am really surprised I haven’t been banned yet considering my bio is ended with this: Due to Triond’s ridiculously low payments I have moved to:

I believe ruby hawk also had her adsense account suspended. Many triond writers have had their AdSense account suspended for the incestuous clicking of ads that happens at triond. Don’t waste your precious AdSense account here at Triond. Triond is a content farm par excellence. Triond is a fully automated insensitive blog posting ad serving site. They will continue to rock along making money off of all you people who whine and complain about being mistreated. Take your “talents” elsewhere if you’re serious about making money writing online
