Some excellent tips and tricks you can use when writing your articles for your article marketing routine.
Article marketing has become a great way to advertise and market your website without the costs that go along with it. It will more than likely never replace marketing and advertising altogether, but implementing article marketing as an addition to your current promotional strategies will go a long way to increasing visitors to your website.
The Article Marketing process is a simple one. You write an article about content related to your website, submit your article to various article directories, and then let the power of the Internet do the rest. Of course you repeat this process everyday and in thirty days you should have no problem seeing an increase in your site’s popularity.
I have written over one thousand articles for a variety of websites for their article marketing campaigns and today I wanted to share with you some things I have learned along the way that might help your own efforts in article marketing.
For starters I have found that if your article is less than 450 words, nobody (well almost nobody) is reading it. I read a study recently that showed people looking for valuable information psychologically think that if the information they are reading is short, it’s probably not valuable. Which to me sounds ludicrous, but I am not a research scientist so what do I know. So keep your articles over 450 words to be safe.
Proof read, proof read, proof read! I can not say that enough. I have been caught for this as well. Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors and so on, make your article look terrible and unprofessional. Sometimes you are rushing an article out, but how long does it take to read through your article two or three times? MS Word can only catch so many of your mistakes; the rest is up to you.
Inform the reader. In other words someone who sees your article headline, “Ten Ways to Leave Your Lover”, expect to read ten exact ways to leave your lover. Your article needs to give the reader valuable information that they can use. Writing an article on why you like the color blue may interest you but chances are will not interest many others. If you sell GPS tracking devices, write an article about tips and tricks that can make a new user’s experience easier. These articles get the most readership, syndication and clicks on your link in your resource box.
Fine tune your resource box and do not be afraid to change it up once in a while. Your resource box is the lifeblood to article marketing. Without it no one will find you or your website. Therefore the resource box should look and read in a professional manner. It should say something to the affect of, “Jane Doe is the owner of ABC GPS Tracking systems. You can learn more about ABC by visiting their website at {insert your web address here}.” The resource box gives the reader the means by which to find the writer of the article and learn a little but more about them.
These are just a few of the many tips that can be offered up to help you along in your article marketing efforts. Just remember that article marketing is a process, and you should be writing one article everyday and submitting it to various article directories to ensure your campaign is successful.
