Understanding Triond’s Revenue and Hot Content System

I have found out some very shocking news during the time of being on Triond that I thought I’d share with you all.

Hello Everyone,

I have been on Triond for some time now and within the time period, I have accumulated some money from writing for Triond but it was not until recently that I’ve found out how Triond payment system works. Below I am going to tell you all some really shocking news that I hope helps so with that being said let’s begin.

I am sure that you all know about the numerous types of categories that you can write about on Triond and from past experience, I know for a fact that “Science Related” topics receives the most revenue. I had an article (Water find on the moon) published by “Scienceray” which received 147 views and I’ve made 33 cents from writing this article.

I have another article (Programs recommended to make calls off of your computer) that was published on “Webupon” which received 197 views and I made 27 cents from writing this article. I know it is only a 6 cents difference but Scienceray gave me 6 cents more and I had less views on the article published by them.

I also realized that the ads that are clicked on your article brings you in more revenue because one of my Play Station Friends (A.Z) had asked me if I’ve written anything new on Triond and I gave him the link to my work and he checked it out. He told me about this game in the sidebar of my article that he had been playing and is now addicted to. I just laughed and I told him to tell me what he thought. We conversed over the microphone because he lives in the UK and I live in the US so speaking face to face is not an option lol.

I went to sleep after that and when I woke up, I checked my Triond dashboard and I had received 12 cents! I was a little confused But happy of course. I went to check my article views and I had only 34 views. I knew from my friend playing the game in the sidebar of my article gave me most of the 12 cents. I am now wondering if that is how the “Hot Content” list works. I see some articles on the list that has about four or five comments. I do not think it is the amount of views, I think that it is the amount of clicks on ads by other companies that are being taken into consideration. If I had a business where thousands of articles were being published daily but the ads on the article (Which makes the business money) were rarely clicked, I would not think twice about promoting the work done by the writer. I would focus my attention on the articles that were bringing in people who were clicking the ads in the article which is making the businesses money. That is why I believe the ads clicked on articles are what get people onto the “Hot Content” list.

I wrote an article for Grinds My Gears called “Triond Frustration” and it was pretty much about the ads in the articles that made articles look “Tacky”. It of course got declined and I was notified by Triond that the comments in the articles are what make us all revenue.

I hope that you all get a better understanding from the Trionds payment system and thank you all for reading!

Thanks for sharing this with us. I am confused about how the hot content and revenue system works too. You could be right about the ads making a difference.

As far as money goes, the ads have everything to do with it,I was informed this by triond, everything depends on the type of ads placed on the article.some of my best articles are in gardening and health although others in that area are crap so I assume so are the ads with them.As for hot content,I’ll never be sure how that works! As always D a great read, very enjoyable on an excellent topic!! now tell me about your new article on grind my gears!!lol you know me I love that series!

You have been really cool checking out my work. I really, really appreciate it. It’s about time I wrote to you.

Thanks a million for all your comments. I have been writing on Triond for just over a year. I have made about $15US. So, obviously, it is not the money I want.

I guess I just like the convenience of it all. I gave up grabbing the dough long ago.

I did find that there is no rules really except write, as you said, with all your determination.

That’s life really. The biggest articles that have earned me have been, “Way Out!” as my American friends would say.

My biggest was about a Barbie Doll Cake. The second most viewed has been a limerick, not more than a few lines long. Lastly, a small biography about the famous porn-star, from the seventies, John Holmes.

Well, that’s about it. I guess finding a unique subject, writing about that, a, “I-did-not-know-that,” subject has worked for me. For example, writing about Queen Emma of the South Seas, has been a real hit. Reason? No other Web site exists about the life of this incredible lady. I guess I uncovered a great story. It gets lots of hits, it’s unique and like you, I try, to tell it well.

Good luck with your work. I know your heart is in the right place. Once again, thanks for the comments.

    Best of Best . j
