Triond Writers: Let’s Help Each Other

We are a strong, intelligent, talented community of writers. Let’s work together to make our dreams a reality.

I would like to propose an idea that will hopefully catch on quickly!

Every writer on Triond.com has a similar goal, to create and improve their writing, have it read in published form, and continue forward with their writing dreams. So in this common dream, why don’t we all take the time to help each other out? We are all, after all, intrinsically connected and we all can learn from one another. The more we read and learn from others the sharper our writing skills become and the more great writing ideas we will generate. It is a circular, win-win cycle.

So, let’s all try to read at least one other writer’s article a day and leave a positive and constructive comment. This is simple to do and it can make a great difference in everyone’s overall income as well as improving everyone’s writing skills. It only takes a few minutes, but it can and will help propel us all forward toward making all our dreams and hopes come true.

I have to say that I was inspired with this idea by Lucy Lockett. Please check out her articles at socyberty.com.

She is kind soul and one of the writers on this site who has read many of my articles and has generously left a great number of comments. It is to her that I would like to dedicate this idea and article to. Her comments as well as those left by others, like lizzie2uk, have helped me further believe in my writing talents and that I can truly make all my dreams a reality.

We are meant to help one another through life. It is so true, the more you help others, the more you help yourself and the more energy you have to help more people! We are all connected, we all want the best for each other. I truly believe this with all my heart. I believe that people only do harm to others because people can only treat others as well as they can treat themselves.

The more we lift one another up, the less pain we all suffer. When you help a stranger by a simple gesture, for example, reading his or her article, you indirectly help the world because maybe that stranger feels happier and can be kinder to the checker at the grocery store who is, your husband, wife, mother, father, grandmother…you get the picture.

Be well, live, love and be happy. Best wishes to all.

Thank you very much Liane. I try to read as many articles as I can, I try to offer encouragement as well! I write better knowing that someone will read mine too, I believe that we all need that, to inspire the best from us. Its the old ‘pass it on’ theory, it works.

Thank you both so very much for your comments! It is because of fellow writers like yourselves that our community of writers will continue to grow and become stronger!

    Best wishes to all!

    -Liane Schmidt.

Many thanks for the mention and I agree with you too. I read other writers each day and always leave a comment but it is amazing how many don’t bother to read what I’v e written in return. Maybe if we set an example we might just set a trend.

Awesome. I don’t see why people don’t do this more. If you want something nice done for you, do something for somebody else! They may return the favor.

Very nicely put. I usually manage to read about 10 articles per day but I have to admit,I don’t always leave a comment. You are right Liane, we do tend to do better when we have the encouragement of others.
    Thanks for the reminder.

I agree with all you say Laine, my mother encourages me to journal. She found Triond a short time ago and suggested I sometimes write here,I do like many of the articles and pictures here on Triond and although very busy with my studies I am going to try and keep up with this site for the summer anyway.
Thanks for your great article, and I hope the people here do
hear what you are saying. I am not a writer but writing helps me have a voice and hope that I am heard.

Just stopped by to again reinforce what you have to say about encouragement. Sometimes there are words written that we may not fully understand by others here on Triond. If we stop, reread usually we can understand what they are meaning to say. Not everyone expresses themselves the same. There really is no right or wrong way to say “thank you” just some say it differently. I have noticed YOU see it right, and even if misspelled or written a bit differently you respond with much kindness. What an admirable quality you possess. We all have our own way, as long as it is not blatantly rude, or unkind, it’s all good. We sometimes need to reread and then things do make fine sense. I like that quality in a person.
    Thank you

This is a wonderful idea, and I’m glad somebody finally blurted out. Thanks, Liane and Lucy, I will definitely try to do this.

Btw, wouldn’t it be nice too if Triond also had a forum for writers’ eyes only where we can ask questions and make suggestions that we don’t want to post for the whole world to see?

To my beautiful community of writers,

Thank you so kindly for all your beautiful comments. I feel honored to be a part of this generous and positive community of gifted writers. Thank you all for solidifying my belief about our special and important connection to one another.

Tearjerker – there are many other writers who post articles to help others who are getting starting. I would suggest searching the “advice” tags link. I am certain your writing career will be successful and flourish in every manner you dream of.

RAB – I am glad to hear that you enjoy journaling and that it adds to your life. I am also glad that Triond can help you practice your writing abilities. I once heard somewhere that we all have a novel inside of us. If you can speak, you can write. It is up to you whether you want to pursue it further or not. There is not wrong or right way to live your life. Only the way that makes you happiest.

Jennifer – Thank you for your supportive comment. The comment was deleted that was previously above yours. Sometimes people “know not what they do.” Best wishes.

Joyce – Thank you with all my heart for taking the time to read this article. Your comment means the world to me.

Justin – Many blessings to you for your kind comment.

Chris – All my best wishes to you. Thank you with all my heart.

Francie – Your words mean more to me than you may ever fully know. You take time and consideration to really write a sincere comment that truly touches my heart and I am certain countless others as well. You are generous with your compliments, support and kindness. I am blessed to receive you and your son’s continued support. Happiness, joy, beauty, peace, and health to you both and your loved ones.

Beatrice – Thank you so very kindly for your comment. I think your idea is wonderful and ingenius. Maybe you can pose this question to the powers that be at Triond? Even if they do not take the suggestion, it is a wonderful idea. Blessings & best wishes.

    Best wishes.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

I’m new to this and am still finding my way around so your article is of great use to me.

I will give it a try as like you said we all share a common interest.

This idea actually reminded me of a film i saw on TV called “Pay it Forward”.

    Many Thanks

    Dear pdlc,

Thank you so very kindly for your comment and welcome to Triond! Yes, I completely agree with your sentiment about “Pay it Forward”. I loved that movie. “We must be the change we wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi.

My best wishes to you, always.

Although this will help others create better content, I doubt it makes much of a difference in income. So I do this purely to help others out on their content, and to give them positive messages about their writing.

Wonderfu idea but something I don’t understand, I have been reading articles published on Jan, 8 2008 but they are older articles, some I have read and some I haven’t. What is happening here?

Dear Brandon, I am so glad to hear that! Much success to you in all that you do.

Dear KathySpring, that is so kind and generous of you and I am certain that those authors are infinitely grateful to you.

Dear Dee, thank you with all my heart for your comment and I completely agree.

Dear Jared, thank you for your comment, but I do know that every view matters and that each new view will help with anyone’s income! I have enjoyed a steady income growth and I am happy to help others do so as well!

Dear Ruby, I answered your comment in an email but for any readers who see your comment in this article – I believe it is due to the fact that Triond was re-publishing certain articles in new website categories.

Dear Gail, thank you so kindly!

    Best wishes to all.

    Sincerely,

    -Liane Schmidt.

Dear Liane.I always read your articles.I have just realized this one. Most of the time,I don’t comment any article which I read. This is because of the fact that I am very indolent individual.I know it doesn’t take a long time.
By the way,I’ll go on reading your articles and leave small notes as comment.
Thank you for this great article.

I like what you have to say. I do read other articles on here and learn things about what they have to say. I’m glad that you are willing to express yourself. I share stories and poems and other things i’d like to share. Hope to continue to read more of what you write. Thank you for being who you are.
