Triond Writer Louie Jerome dies.
Triond Writer Louie Jerome (also known as Jan Harper and Lizzie) died on Sunday after a brief illness. She was suffering with cancer and a brain tumour, but kept writing for as long as she could. Her last article here was published in June. This shows her natural tenacity and dedication.
Louie had written literally hundreds of articles here on Triond (more than 500). She was one of the first people I met when I started writing here years ago. We became friends in August, 2007. She was also a TESOL teacher and wrote for a number of other writing/publishing sites. Louie also managed her own blogs.
Louie was a published writer. I was one of the many people who bought and read her work. I have ‘Peter and The Black Dog’ on my bookshelf at home. She was also a self-described psychic and was interested in a variety of other subjects.
You can leave her grandson a message at his blog.
My regards and best wishes go out to her surviving family.

She was indeed a good friend here. Thanks for sharing this, Anne. I too lost my eldest brother about three weeks ago. It was very sudden, we had no time to say goodbye, so my heart goes out to her family too.

That’s sad, right? Death is one reality that everyone will eventually face but too hard to accept. Imagine her works will live for years, even the next generations will benefit from knowledge she had imparted. This is one sweet thing about being a writer. Our works will live on for years even after we depart from this world.

Great Tribute to a fellow Writer! I may have negative feedback about this Site management but what I love about this Site is the close knit Community here who cares for each other.

I didn’t know her personally, but I did know her in the way one knows a semi-famous person, and now I regret not getting to know her better. She’ll be missed.

I’d like to express my message of sincere condolence to Louie’s family. I never knew her; however this article was moving and as part of Triond’s community I feel I should be close with my thoughts to her relatives. May Louie rest in peace.

I’m new here and didn’t know her but thanks for letting us know. It’s always good to meet another fighter.

That was sad. She had written good articles on various topics. She was also clever and detected cheatings of Triond and wrote her last article saying how much her Triond earnings have come down. Then she used to write at her blog – interesting to read. We quite miss an experienced writer.
