Writers, we are inventors, creators of new topics, inventions and innovative ways of seeing the world. By simply taking a thoughtful look at past movies, books, etc. you will see how they have greatly influenced and helped shape and fashion everyday life today. In fact, I once read that writers are the creators of the future.
I believe it wholeheartedly, after all, it is undeniably true that the imagination is the impetus to creation. Without an idea, production cannot begin. Part of the reason why CEO’s and top paid executives of companies are so highly compensated and valued is due to the fact that they are “big thinkers” who can see the “big picture” and the far reaching results of their visions.
Visionary minds are the risk takers, the voice of the company or concept they represent, they make mistakes, they change courses, but they all believe in the great validity and importance of their ideas. Then, quite intelligently, they leave the details to the invaluable specialists who fill the various fields. But, social invention and progress first begins with the imagination, an ingenious idea, the spark of thinking past the concrete and known into the fascinating realm of endless possibilities.
One of my favorite and most beloved quotes is:
“If you can dream it, you can do it.”
-Walt Disney
Another is:
“The only limits in life are those we place upon ourselves.”
And, lately, I’ve had the vision that WE, the gifted Triond community can and WILL make Triond the hottest, most popular writing site on the internet.

Why not us, after all?
Everyday the membership new sign-ups are growing. Every time you publish another article, leave a comment to support your fellow writer friends with a link to your profile you are lifting the entire site to the next level.
Within the past few months, I have done some research and was pleasantly surprised to find that many people believe Triond is one of the best online money making writing opportunities around for freelance writers. You will also be pleased to know that I have read many articles that talk very positively about our community. Most people feel that it is exceptionally supportive and I have to agree.

New and seasoned Triond writers not only consistently read your work and give supportive feedback; they often go above and beyond this kindness. I have had talented, gifted writers send beautiful emails, ask my opinion on varying subjects, further humbling, lifting me up and solidifying my belief in myself. After all, some of these writers have written songs, screenplays, and novels and for some reason, they think I have talent! Some have even gone so far as to write about me in their articles, link my work to their sites, and I’m sure much more than I will ever fully be aware of. Furthermore, the Triond community makes you feel like a special shining star and for these reasons I will never be able to express my gratitude enough.
In addition, some of the articles I have read that speak adversely about our site, actually have sited inaccurate information. I have left comments on some of these articles explaining that I have been writing for Triond for about 2 years and their negative facts are untrue. I believe the more we write positively about our site, the more we talk about all the benefits, and the more we continue to comment, Stumble, link our articles, etc. the more we can truly make this site the BEST writing site on the internet.

The more we all think of the “bigger picture” and limitless possibilities of this incredible site; that we are not in competition with one another, but in the same mission to grow Triond’s popularity the more we will drive good, positive traffic to our site and ultimately make it the most sought after, esteemed writing forum around!
I once spoke to the founder of a very popular internet site and he told me that from the very beginning stages of its existence, he was publishing articles and telling people it would be the top site within its genre. And, his words (imagination) paved the successful path to his “greater vision”. I am saying the same about Triond.
Together, we CAN and WILL make it happen!
“To the stars and beyond!”

I believe you may indeed be right.
Well written, nice style, breezy and light, loved the pics.

Very nice article! I have added it to SU.
November 10th, 2008 at 7:50 am
very well written…Triond is the most and best popular website for freelance writers..
November 10th, 2008 at 7:57 am
You are right Liane. Thanks for the very nice read.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:05 am
I enjoyed this article, but I must disagree with it. There are so many prosperous writing sites out there, that you can’t possibly rate this one highest among them. Although this may be very popular because of the money issue, I get more personal enjoyment out of a few other sites, making them much more popular to me. But I don’t disagree that Triond is up there.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:06 am
Another AWESOME article! Well done!
November 10th, 2008 at 8:10 am
You’re right! Triond is part of our home. I’ve many friends here too…Let’s be united in within this community! Take care!
November 10th, 2008 at 8:37 am
I believe in what you said Lianne. In God’s time, Triond will be “… the hottest, most popular writing site on the internet,” as you have foretold it. And each one of us gives our tiny contribution towards making it come true. All the best to all of us! All the best to Triond! God bless Triond.
Take care…

Liane, once again your writing has inspired and uplifted. I agree that Triond is *among* the best writing sites on the ‘net. I’m not so sure it is – or will be – *the* best. I love the way our stories and articles are published with similar content, making the sites look more like repositories of great ideas and content, and less like article mills. That’s the main reason I publish here. As for money however, I make the least here on my writing compared to the other 2 sites on which I publish. Anyway – thanks for another positive entry.
November 10th, 2008 at 8:51 am
Yes, we could. If we all do our part…
November 10th, 2008 at 9:13 am

November 10th, 2008 at 11:26 am
Your article is grand! You are such a nice person too. Your post says all the truths about our family here on triond. the site can be used most productively when people don’t mis-use the true essence of this internet arena. Sharing not dumping, giving not taking and also not scaring a reader to think one is taking one’s life. We live miles apart, but that does not say we don’t care.
November 10th, 2008 at 11:26 am

‘Without an idea, production cannot begin’
That is so true.
It is our responsibility as authors to make Triond the most popular writing site, by consistently posting creative, well written content. The more popular we make Triond, the more successful our work becomes.
A self-fulfilling prophecy!
Another great article Liane.

i think your right great article
November 11th, 2008 at 10:36 pm
My sincere, deepest gratitude to all. Together we CAN and ARE making this site above and beyond exceptional. Even JK Rowling had her work “Harry Potter” rejected about 12 times, but she kept believing.
A dream only needs people to believe in it – then take the steps to make it happen.
I am beyond blessed to be a part of the Triond community.
Best wishes & blessings to all.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.
November 11th, 2008 at 11:05 pm
Liane, lots of friends, huh? That goes to show, along with your writing abilities, and the fact that you read so many of our works, that you are one of Triond’s leaders. Keep it up!!
November 12th, 2008 at 7:48 am
Nicely Written. BTW thanks for commenting on my article.
November 12th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
is this fact?
November 12th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
I think the best part of this article is that we are not in competition with one another. We are helping one another achieve our goals and also the ultimate goal of Triond to be the best writing site.
I will always remember this. Thanks.
November 13th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
Dear Brian, I truly appreciate your comment – I do my best to read as many articles and comment on them as possible. I learn so much from the exceptional talent writers on this site. It reminds me how blessed I am, how to remain creative, and that we are all working on the same goal.
Dear Choco R, you are kindly welcome, thank you so kindly also.
Dear Dieter, than you for your comment. Not, that I am aware of, but I know that when you talk about things, they can become a self-fullfilling prophecy. There is a reason our site continues to grow. We have some of the most caring, positive writers part of the Triond community.
Dear Richie, blessings for your kind comment. I do my best to remind myself of that point everyday, because it is humbling and it is true. We are all equal to one another. If I spent everyday practicing golf I could become a professional golfer. It’s simply a matter of finding something you love, dedicating yourself to it, and struggling through the challenges it takes to make all your dreams come true.
Blessings & best wishes to all.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.

November 14th, 2008 at 12:01 pm
Hopefully.
November 15th, 2008 at 2:30 pm
Hi Liane! Do you like golf? I love it! But let’s face it, golf is incredibly expensive!! A pen and a stack of paper is far less costly and you can do it anywhere!! Think I’ll stick with writing! In the immortal words of Ralph Cramden, (from The Honeymooners Jackie Gleason)
“Baby… You’re the greatest!”
November 15th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
Dear joystick7, thank you so kindly!
Dear Brian, together WE CAN AND WILL make it happen – your comment is greatly appreciated.
Dear TommyP, your comments are always so kind and full of exceptional energy and kindness – my deepest gratitude.
Blessings & best wishes to all.
Sincerely,
-Liane Schmidt.

Great piece! Makes you want to… write! Yeah! (I like your positive approach very much.)
December 18th, 2008 at 4:22 am
Liane,
Excellent article. Had it not been for Triond, I would still be unpublished. This is a great site and I’m very proud to be a part of it. I’ve made a lot of friends here. Countless times I have given Authspot’s address to people in my community. Each time I do,
they always tell me how great it is. At present, I’m seven poems away from my original goal of 100. After that I will be putting on my short stories. All my friends keep wondering how soon I’ll be getting my stories on. I have a cousin that’s getting very impatient. I can’t see the future without Triond. In my book, we are already no#1!
Fantastic Article, Liane!!!!
Again, I’m very proud to be a part of the Triond community!!!
