This is my description on the difference of the three options for blogging and monetizing.
Both Triond and RedGage use flash to build their interface. Presentation is good but occassioanlly could not access either service. With your own blog, you have better control over the interface used. I use Blogger and have had connecting too. So all three options encounter connection problems.
It is possible to earn money with all three options.
With your personal blog every cent earned belongs to you. However, the challenge with the personal blog is you have to keep your blog focused and constantly updated; otherwise, you will lose the momentum and your regular readers. You may opt to pay for your own domain for the hosting service (instead of using free hosting sites) – both of which will be additonal overhead/cost. If the earning does not cover the overhead, you will end up losing money.
If you are like me earning with adsense, you need to wait until you earn at least US$100/- before you can get the money.
One of the things about earning money in blogs is to stay focused in a niche. If the niche has a lot of interest, that is where you can earn more money. This is where Triond shines. It has multiple domains which are specifically focused so it makes it much easier to drive traffic. Also due to its communities, each domain is constantly updated. So it is good for driving traffic to your work from within the community as well as readers outside the Triond community.
One of my issues I have with Triond and is probably the same problem with other sites is submitting articles with lots of images. I submitted one and it was published without the images which cause it to lose its effect. I informed Triond and it was fixed promptly but soon after the images disappeared again.
One key benefit for Triond in my book is that you can withdraw the money PayPal and the minimum cut off is 50 cents. This allows you to get your money faster.
I have received the payment from Triond and I must say, the process is very simple and hassle free.
I like RedGage because the articles you write with the first two options can be used with this option. That means you can earn money from both sources. Also, you earn points and money for all your activities within the site. However, because everything is within that one domain, it is much tougher to get readers who have niche interest. One other interesting gimmick that is unique within this site is the daily, weekly and monthly raffles which allows you to earn extra money.
I feel that the focus is for interaction within the community. Also some may not like the fact that their earning is posted for all to see.
You can withdraw your earning only when the amount earned exceeds US$25/-. Which is still lower than the limit required from personal blog (i.e. direct from google). However, it will be sent to you via a prepared credit card. There are some fees such as US$5/- for the card and additional 5% fee for each withdrawal. That means you will be getting less that what you earned.
I have not received any payment from RedGage yet since I just joined and am not sure how smooth the payment process is.
If you do not have the time to sustain a blog and write regularly as well as stay within a specific topic, then the last two options are better. The first option has the potential to make money faster but requires a lot more focus and work.

I’ve made the decision that Triond is the best for me. But it’s always good to know what other sites are doing.

you are absolutely right that a lot of time and effort needed to update on the personal blog in order to earn. I find Triond is friendly in the sense that their minimum payment is USD0.50. Have not tried RedGage before.

This was a very good article. I liked how you let your readers know about all three sites. I like how Triond also pays money transfers too. I don’t have a paypal account so I get my money through money transfers (Western Union). It takes longer, but I haven’t had any problems so far.

Hmm..Triond in general is a good site to write for..definitely needs improvements in some areas, for example, the Hot Content’ list and ‘Hot Users’ list do not truly reflect the skilled writers and their content i.e. I’m sick of seeing second-rate, boring articles on the ‘Hot Content’ list..editing an article too much i.e.omitting important pieces of information without giving notification of same and reasons why.

For me RedGage is the best because I earned $4.00 to $6.00 a day and I receive already a Visa Debit Card from RedGage last month. One thing that I like RedGage, because they have a raffle draw everyday and if you win the raffle draw., you have $25.00 from RedGage and it will deposit to your Visa Debit Card. I have won 2 times already in the raffle draw. All you have to do is just upload photos, videos, links, documents and blogs. Click the link here to join http://www.redgage.com/?refby=alexteves
