Associated Content gets you more? Faster?
A few months ago, I had wrote an article about how great Triond is compared to Associated Content.
It is true, that Triond is a writer’s heaven. You get all the tools to track all the traffic you get to your articles, as well as all the tools to get them read by eager readers. All the websites under Triond get thousands of views every month. With all those tools, you should be the world’s most recognized writer, right?
I thought so. At least after signing up for Associated Content. Just because I couldn’t get paid, I got really pissed at Associated Content, and I never wrote for it again. Getting paid the one or two cents that I got from Triond was good enough for me. I’d rather get paid little rather get nothing at all.
But did I make a good decision when I took out all my anger against Associated Content when I wrote that article? Now that I think about it, I realise that I made a horrible decision writing about that. This is why I am letting loose part two of the Triond vs. Associated Content series (this is the last one in the series).
In the other article, I wrote about how much Associated Content sucked. But in this one, I’m going to tell you the advantages even a writer like me has by writing with Associated Content.
Associated Content is a website that’s just like Triond. It pays money based on a CPM rate, and has an active community. But even with these similarities, Triond and Associated Content are light years away from having the same experience for the freelance writer, whether they want money or not.
Associated Content pays you money, but you have to be older than eighteen, and a US resident in order to make anything. But once you are eighteen, you can make some big bucks. Unlike Triond, Associated Content pays an upfront payment for your content. Usually, they range from two dollars to sometimes fifty dollars. But remember, you get paid the upfront payments only if you are a US resident over eighteen years old.
Even though you might not get paid if you are a kid in the US, you should still write for Associated Content if you want to go into the writing field. Even if you don’t want to be a freelance writer, you should still write for Associated Content. If you want to be a newspaper writer, this is the perfect place to start. They allow submissions on everything in a professional manner. Every article takes a few days to get approved, but it’s worth it.
Associated Content lets you publish a variety of things. For example, you can publish interviews, prose, poetry, news stories, informative articles, tourism articles, pictures, videos, and slideshows. There are templates made for these types of content. Well, everything besides photos, videos, and slideshows.
Think that Associated Content isn’t going to track all your stats like the Triond Dashboard? Think again. For all you analytical people Associated Content took the stats widget on the Triond Dashboard and made it a lot better. The widget on Associated Content show what article got how many views (more or less), opposed to Triond, where it just shows how many views all your articles generated altogether that day.
And finally, if you want to get yourself some form of recognition, you should definitely join Associated Content. Associated Content ranks number 558 on Alexa.com. That beats the heck out of the ranking of all the Triond websites. Did I see PurpleSlinky.com ranked in the 30,000’s, or was I just dreaming? No, it was real. Triond and all of it’s sister sites are all below the 10,000 rank. Just go to Alexa.com and check. The fact that Associated Content ranks a lot higher provides the fact that more people visit that website.
Now, compare that to Triond. Oh wait, I forgot one very important aspect of Associated Content. Associated Content lets you do one thing Triond would never even think about. They partner up with other websites and give freelancing projects to writers. Usually, you get paid a lot of money for those. These projects are chosen for you by their partners.
If you don’t get any projects the first day on Associated Content, don’t worry. There are still plenty of things to write about. You have your own assignment desk. If you are just a kid, you won’t get paid for any of this, but you will gain a lot of experience. If you do chose to do an assignment, you can’t let it go unless you really need to. If you do release an assignment, you will get less likely to get another assignment.
Now compare all of that to Triond. What’s better? Triond, or Associated Content? Decide for yourself.
