Triond vs. Associated Content

What is better, advertising revenue, or upfront payments for your work?

I remember the time I found Triond online. I was the happiest guy on earth. Why wouldn’t I be? I mean getting paid to write was my dream of a summer job! Unfortunately for me, I figured out within three days of becoming a Triond writer that I only earned pennies a month. I was saddened, yet I didn’t give up any hope. There were too many writers that got more than twenty dollars a month on Triond for me to believe that I couldn’t make money from it.

Yet after a good week of good hard writing, I looked up some websites that gave upfront payments for informative articles. I found this Squidoo article saying something about this website called Associated Content. Apparently, they gave upfront payments for writing. So, as a teenager desperate for money, I signed up for it. But I quit writing for Associated Content almost right away. Why? There are a lot of reasons why I completely forgot about AC.

For one thing, I just was not comfortable with AC. It looked too ugly the first time I tried to submit an article. It was just an ugly looking thing. When I tried to submit an article, I found the interface on that page was like the interface of ezinearticles.com. It was that bad. The interface made me think that I wasn’t a writer, but a low class worker filling out an application.

Compared to that, Triond is like the heaven for writers. I just go to Triond.com and, oh, there’s my dashboard with all the statistics about how many people have visited my works, traffic sources, and top keywords. Now that just beats the crud out of AC’s writing environment.

Triond provides everything for their writers except for money. Triond has everything. The traffic, the dashboard, the interface, and most importantly, the oppurtunity. So all of you people that want to get away from Triond, think again. AC’s page rankings are not as high as Triond’s sites. Plus it doesn’t look good enough. If a searcher just happened to come across an article on AC dealing with Calculas textbooks, they probably would not stay very long or tell a friend about it. Why? Because it is on a website with every kind of article and content imaginable to man. It doesn’t specialize on content, because their content might sound gramatically like a Harvord proffessor, yet it could have been a retarded 10 year old writing for his parents.

So the only difference between AC and Triond is the pay and the tools for publishing. Triond owns publishing, yet AC has the higher pay. So what’s the moral of this story? Stay with Triond.

But if you want a good source of income, you yourself have to create more sources of traffic for your articles. If you write fifty articles in a month, you might get lucky and get three or four dollars. But if you increase the traffic, that same three to four dollars could double or even triple. How do you get free traffic to your articles? I will put that on gourabsarticles.yolasite.com. It has all of my articles on writing, ebay, life, and more.

I write for Triond and Associate Content both as well as Helium. Helium pays the best but it takes work.

Associated content pays both upfront and per view and my views on Associated content are actually a little higher than on triond, but not by much.

I like writing for all three because I love to write and I can make more money by diversifying.

But Triond is a great site for writers and I love it too.

Absolutely great article and a very well reasoned comparison, whilst clearly presenting the merits of the one over the other.
