Triond is the friendliest website I have found on the net, even surpassing the social websites I belong to.
There is just something special about Triond that makes all of us who write for it feel a deep sense of loyalty, no matter how many sites we belong too, or how much money we can make from other sources. The other day while reading one of PR Mace’s older articles it dawned on me what that something special is.
Triond is simply the friendliest sight around. Not only do people eagerly accept friend invites from one another, but, for the most part they actually want to be friends when they do.
Not only do the people on our friends list comment on our articles, but they also encourage one another, email one another and share advice about many things not just about writing.
Having these friendships makes us eager to click on to this site each day. I often check this site before even checking my emails.
The other sites that I write for are far less friendly. Rarely if ever do I get a comment after someone reads my article and when I do it is often from one of the friends I have made here on Triond.
On one particular site I have add a friend request or two come in almost every day. I not only accept those requests, but then take the time to read some of those people’s articles and comment on what they have written. In exchange, I have few comments from most of the people who sent me the invites. One lady in particular, who has not once left me a comment, takes the time to message me every time she publishes new content and asks me to read and rate her content.
Somewhere along the line she has failed to learn that friendship is a two way street, and that once in a while sending a message other than asking for views would be a nice gesture.
But it isn’t just the writing sites that Triond beats out for friendliness. I also belong to a few social websites and even a couple of pen pal sites and I find that even my friends on there often are not as faithful as my Triond friends. Some of the friends on my social website I have known for 20 years or more, and they rarely send me a message, and are slow to answer message I send them.
I know we all have a busy life. But if the people on this site can go to school, work jobs, write and maintain the friendships that have made here, the people on the other sites could do so as well.
Which leads me to the conclusion that not only does this site have many exceptional writers, but, it has many exceptional and caring people as well.

I agree with you whole heartedly. I have made so many friends here and some have continued the friendship after leaving Triond. We regularly email one another. I have no inclination to write for other sites. A lovely piece.

I agree 100%, there is something about Triond!

The only real downside to Triond is you eventually make so many friends you can’t possibly keep up with what all of the are doing. At least that’s the problem I have. I’ve got so much going on these days I rarely get the chance to read or comment on my friends work, much less write myself.

I agree with you. but also agree with Drake. I ave so many friends that when I log on in the morning and see what all my friends posted I feel overwhelmed. And that is why I have not been commenting on your recent works Martie,

Hi Martie,
Thanks for using me in your article. I bet I know what old post you are talking about. I love my Triond friends. When my mother died in August 2008, my Triond friends where by my side with support and kind words. I think this is the best site.

yes triond is a friendly site. i love meeting new people on here, well not meeting them but in a sense getting to know a little about them through their articles. hopefully i’ll start getting comments and more views also. but until then i stay faithful for the simple fact that it was the first site i stumbled upon that actually pays to write. although i’ve only earned 8 since so far, but in the last few days its gone up alot so maybe people are seeing that im a good writer and liking what i write.
