I’ve been receiving a ton of messages here on Triond lately. I’m so glad that my phone number isn’t linked to my account otherwise I’d be hanging up on a lot of people! These messages are supposed to be invitations, not spam.

I know there’s another “new” writing site out there that people can join called Bukisa. I’ve joined it myself and have even written an article on it saying as much. If you really checked my articles and read them “every day”, you would know that I don’t need any more invitations from you!
Okay, perhaps I’m starting to lose my holiday spirit a little bit. I’ve just had enough of these kinds of messages. I am a Bukisa member (barely) but you don’t see me spamming everyone about it. Especially more than once! Sure I only have one friend on Bukisa (my husband) but at least I’m not annoying tons of people I’ve never even met. I’ve deleted people from my friends list simply because they keep sending me the same darn (read ?!*#ing) messages over and over again!

You’d think that sending one message would be enough and if you didn’t get a response that you would just leave them alone. I’m really starting to lose my sense of humor about it. The least they could do is write an article about why they think Bukisa is so darned special and invite people to join in that manner. That way, if people didn’t want to read it they could just not read your article. I mean, if anyone wants to join Bukisa in my network, feel free but I’m not going to spam you about it!
Nor do I want to join some survey site that is mainly for American citizens. I live in Canada, it says so on my profile. If you were truly “my friend”, you’d probably already know that. Write an article about the site and tell people why you think it’s a great idea to join in your network.
Please, please, please stop spamming me! I know I’m not the only person here that feels this way.
Once again, I’m already in Bukisa. Please stop asking me to join. I have. It’s not that great. I prefer Triond. I’m going to continue to use both sites and write articles for Triond members to let them know whether or not Bukisa lives up to all of its hype. As a Christmas gift, no spam. Please.

I agree completely! I have received so much spam from people about Bukisa that, like you, I am becoming inclined just to block people immediately.
I guess we could be flattered. Bukisa works on a pyramid network so if you sign someone up then you receive some of their earnings (don’t know how it works). So, if you happen to get someone from Triond from the hot content list then the cash glands start salivating! However, I for one am not flattered by this unrequested attention – particularly from some who have hardly any articles here on Triond (and who I suspect have created their Triond profiles specifically to get people to join Bukisa), have obvioulsy not read any of my work and produce such unremitting tripe themselves that I would not wish to be associated with them as an online writer anyway! Gosh, that was a long sentence!
Basically, it is people trying to make something for nothing on the backs of other people. I too have a Bukisa profile but will be deleting it as I am fairly sure I must be in someone else’s earnings stream. If I do ever submit to Bukisa I will make a profile from scratch and I certainly will not encourage people to join up so I can make a few cents out of them.
As with all pyramid schemes – be suspicious about this one!
Thanks for this article, Paula, you have said exactly what I have been thinking!

I second, R J Evans.
I will not join so someone else can receive a part of my profit! Besides, I’m quite satisfied with Triond.
Excellent article, Paula, and thanks for saying what was on my mind.
Happy holidays and God bless.

Oh ditto all of the above! I am fed up with being asked to join USA only groups, I live in Cyprus and like you Paula, I am sure it mentions it in my profile! Butkissa, sorry Bukisa requests are pouring into my message box and my finger is hovering over the block and delete friend buttons, I have noticed several ‘friends’ have asked me to join but not bothered to comment on my new work on Triond, some friends they are! Great article!

I agree with ALL of the above! Since joining Triond I have also discovered several other writing sites but none have impressed me as much as Triond. I have blogs and have written on Hubpages but haven’t seen much profit from any of them. I do not like pyramid schemes and if I were to join Bukisa it would be because it looked interesting to me, not to help someone else make more money. Great article and well said!

Excellent information. I signed up for Bukisa but, I’m not to terribly impressed and I hate the thought of spamming others for earnings. I submitted five article to them but, I still enjoy Triond and I love Today.com

I am also receiving this spam. I have checked out Bukisa but I haven’t published anything. I am not impressed with it either. When I have plenty of time I might try it.

I like it here. I upload articles and download cash. ’nuff said except, -I like this arrangement and don’t want to mess with it. The big “T” has been pretty good to me so far.

Add me to the list of people fed up with getting spam about Bukisa. I have had to delete people because they were bugging me.

Very good article and very helpful for people like me. I’ve just joint bukisa recently. Please tell me more stories about them. I’m now, very comfortable and satisfied with the services given by my favorite website Triond, especially on the co-ordination among members in Triond. Thanks for sharing.

I have joined Bukisa, but have never gotten beyond the sign-in page. Lol! Yes, the spam is bothersome. I was not bothered to be asked by a well-known name on Triond, because she did it with taste.has read my articles and didn’t push. If I can ever get past the sign-on page, I may have a peek. I definitely agree about the spam from people just looking to make it off your back and no real interest in you or your work..
Thhanks for the good rant!

Both sites are good. I think Triond is a good, solid site for beginners.
