Triond: Some Surprises in My Views, Income, and Dashboard This Month

There has been some interesting changes in my Triond experience this month and thought I would share them with you.

For the first time since joining Triond last April my income for the month has gone down. While I was a little disappointed, I was not really surprised as I felt last months gigantic leap was something of a fluke.

Up until last month my income had been climbing slowly but steadily. Had it continued on course and not taken that giant leap last month, this month’s income would have pretty much been on target with the rest of my gains.

What did surprise me is that I have made as much as I did, as my daily views have dropped to unbelievable lows. I was quite surprised that my income seems to be significantly higher than what the daily views would suggest.

I am not sure if some of my views just are not showing up on the dashboard, or if I can making a bit more for those articles that are being read. I plan on keeping track next month to see if this trend continues.

Some other interesting things I have noted this month on my dashboard, is that for the first time I have been getting some views from stumbleupon showing up on my dashboard. This was a first.

Also my views from inside Triond has fallen to third place where every other month they have held either first or second place. This means more of my views are coming from outside the site which will be good in the long term.

Two brand new sources of views have also showed up Swagbucks, whatever that is, and search cnn.com, neither has appeared on my dashboard before.

There is one other difference I noticed this month that has started occurring. If I write an article about “writing” it seems to get published immediately articles on any other subject matter seem to be be sitting in the pending pile for 24 to 48 hours with only a few exceptions.

I noticed this early in the month, and so on three different occasions I would write an article early in the morning and post it. Then I would wait 5 to 8 hours and post an article on writing. Within a couple of hours the writing article would be posted, and the other article often would not be posted until the next day.

It has made me feel as though Triond has been gently pushing me to write more articles about different aspects of writing and less about my other interests. Though I am sure that is not their intention.

I am certainly looking forward to see if any of these interesting trends continue on next month or if there will be new and different surprises here on Triond.

My income has gone down this month too. Last month I was earning one cent for every seven or eight views. This month it is between ten and twelve views. An interesting review.

Well my total income is lower this month because I was out of town and I have not written anything since my birthday on the 9th. It was last month I saw the changes you are talking about. I had days when my views went down to 3 to 9 per day. I know that could not have been correct as I was making more than normal income. We will have to see what Nov brings.

Very interesting article. I’ve never really figured out Triond’s stastics either.

Hmm, interesting. My earnings have fallen a bit, too, because earnings on the Real Owner, where I publish most of my articles, are not as high. I’m curious to see what Adsense does to earnings. I just integrated my Adsense account with my Triond account today.

I read all yours. Sometimes the system does not allow a comment so I give you “I like it” and have to move on. Sometimes I send you a note that something is not going right, but you have my attention, friend.

I totally agree with ya, it seems that my responses vs. income is too complicated to understand. I am curcious to see what adsense, does to my earnings and if it is helpful.

It would have been interesting if you had told us what your earnings are! But Stumbleupon has always been been my highest source. I also have strange places though – Plurk, scroogle and iconfactory. I use this info to then go to those sites and see if I can promote there. Don’t forget different subject matter gets different ration of viewer to cent. Pictures hardly earn and other things get a cent for 6 views.

When you have a really successful article or two in one month it’s almost impossible to replicate that the next month in my experience but I always try to.

    I totally agree.

It’s hard to understand the relationship between views and earnings.

My earning is up this month but I still didn’t understand how that referring sites work. I got 19,000 views in total but the total referring sites views is only about 250. Some new links like chacha.com is appeared. Though I’m quite sure that if I stopped writing, my earnings will go down next month.

    Nice article!

I have not figured out Triond’s stats way too. My last two photos have only 1 cent to date when their views have reached over 50, the other one almost a hundred, when my past photos seemed to get a cent from at least 10 views. But I have earned 18 cents from adsense after 3 days of integrating my Triond account to that of myy Google one.

All sorts of strange things are happening to my account. Triond doesn’t even show up on my dash board anymore. I think I’ll give them a ring.
