It seems everyone’s long term goal when they start out at Triond is to one day make the Triond Hot Content Top 10 and then eventually become a hot user. The names of Triond legends splatter the homepage day in and day out and that is what all newbies strive for. I have managed both feats which of course were my long term goals once also. My only quip is that I have never made number one on the Hot Content and can’t seem to keep my name on the Hot Users list. Nevertheless, here are some hints, tips, and secrets to making your Triond dreams a reality.
This is vital. You need Triond friends to aid success. Even if your writing is sub par, your Triond friends will guide you in the right direction. However, you must be prepared to take some constructive criticism along the way. It’s not all love and support from these people but you have to learn to take the criticism and apply this to your next piece, thus gaining respect from your friends and continued viewing and commenting. Remember, your friends need the same from you in return. If this is not done, then your friends don’t see you as valuing their work and you will have one less friend.
TIP: Don’t add 100 friends without reviewing any of their pages or writing your own works first. Asking someone to be your friend without first reading and commenting on their work is a general no no also.
If you are looking for an instant stream of page views, then joining social bookmarking and social networking sites is very valuable. Sites like StumbleUpon, Digg and Delicious are very popular and provide, sometimes, thousands of views. There is a catch, you need to have friends on these sites so your work is passed around and viewed by others. The same general rules apply on these sites for making friends as on Triond so if you didn’t read the piece about making friends, then scroll back up.
For me this is one of the most important pieces of your work. Unless you have a multitude of friends that constantly view your work regardless of its title and theme, then what you say in your title can be the most important aspect. For example, my latest piece to make the hot content list was titled Triond: You Can Be Successful which appealed to people who weren’t just my friends because users wanted to know that at Triond your work is valued and provides avenues to success.
TIP: Make your title very broad so that the searcher or Triond explorer reads it without knowing its actual point of focus.
Think about what is popular in the news, on the net etc and write about that. People follow particular fads and so what is popular is always a great start to making the hot content.
TIP: What is on the hot content list now? Why is it there? Because it is a popular topic. Also check out Google Trends for the latest most popular topics on the internet.
Do all of the little things in your writing correctly (spelling and grammar for instance) and people will want to read your next piece because you have worked hard to create quality work. Nobody other than your true friends, who will give you constructive feedback, wants to read a poem that doesn’t make sense, follows that particular poems style, or has woeful spelling. People want to read quality.
The last tip which I have included in this articles summary for obvious reasons is that you need to be patient. You need to have all of these things firmly in place before even thinking about hot content and if you are patient it will happen. You don’t need 1000 views before making the list despite popular belief. So good luck and please feel free to ask questions. I am not the best or most experienced writer on Triond but have been there and done that.

You know, my animal article has spent more time on the top than any of mine and even though it had some minor issues that were slowly taken care of, it was still a surprise. It has taken me a long time to figure out what you need to do to make your new material fly, but I’m getting there.

) , you learn and improve a lot on the way.

Good points here and I agree with them all. I am unsure of trionds criteria for the hotlist. I have had several articles in the top 30 but no idea why! Some of them had only had a couple of views or were brand new…
Still, the general advice of your article is very sound RJ Thanks for sharing.
