What happened to freedom of speech?
Triond prohibits writers from using vulgar, illegal, or otherwise unethical terms and phrases in their work. What about those of us that prefer a bit of chaos with our coffee? Where would the Jim Morrison’s and Bob Dylan’s be if they were not entitled to complete freedom of expression? I could have an extensively interesting and persuasive essay here, but the people at Triond may perceive it as vulgar. Imagination should never be limited or confined.
Also, creative writing is open to a wide range of interpretation. One piece of work may seem inspiring to some and offensive to others.
Where does the line get drawn?
and
Why does Triond.com get to draw it?

My question is why would anyone who wants to be taken seriously as a writer WANT to use vulgar, illegal, or unethical terms?
While writing can be colorful and this may be a writer’s voice/style, Triond certainly has the right to set some reasonable standards so that this style of writing doesn’t infiltrate a legitimate writing site with content that might put off discerning readers with more sophisticated tastes.
There may be a market for vulgar and unethical material, possibly in the rags that talk about 7-headed lizard babies, and purported star pregnancies and break ups. Scandal sheets might be a perfect fit for this type of material.

Unless your writing a novel, why would you as a writer, a poetic of words want to , or have the need to use vulgar words. Yes we have the freedom of speach; but I believed it is meant as to inform and keep us abreast, not to vulgarly insult.
