Triond Project: Publishing One Million World Class Articles

This project is a challenge. A challenge so big that the average writer would neve accomplish this in a lifetime. An entire career time is not enough to produce all the content necessary to fit one million full pages of high quality content that must to be approved by Triond editors before being published. After some queries in meta search engines, it seems that many people are trying to somehow increase their traffic and world reach with articles. Taking a look at the most successful SEO products and website marketing reveals that websites selling any kind of product that contain a decent number of articles, have a boost in both number of high ranked keywords and number of sites linking to their content sometimes directly to the product even with no affiliated link. It’s interesting to see as well that paper advertisements that in the near past contained nothing but the products the store sold, today they are released with half content in the form of text, and only products in the other half. This advanced technique makes the average person want to open the ad to read the text and in the process they have to see an ad or two they might find useful about products they would never see if that paper had nothing but products and more products. This examples shows clearly the power of well written articles in the art of selling.

While my business is mostly writing for the internet, this challenge is a personal goal to me, not just a business goal. So far only the titles have been completed. Separating the articles in smaller parts such as the title, then the intro, then the first half of the body, then the second half of the body, then the conclusion, then the categories and finally the tags, and working on each part only before advancing to the next clears ideas and makes thinking easier.

After writing all those one million titles in about three months, here are some interesting stats:

• Size of the files in TXT format: 26 MB (uncompressed)
• Number of files: 20 (they had to be split otherwise Windows crashes because of extreme RAM usage)
• Number of Microsoft Word Pages size 1 Times New Roman: 20.000 Pages (that makes 10 Portuguese standard Bibles)

To achieve this many tools were used. Google keyword tool helps to research better keywords and gives an objective vision about the expected traffic for that keyword based on previous searches. Keyword pad allows to easily store the keywords in your computer and to combine them with other keywords to make a related title to the envisioned article. Some websites were designed thinking about the Writer with a great tool for giving ideas to the next creation. Such tools suggest the topic for the next article, releasing the writer from the topic thinking, allowing him to focus on what is more important, the article itself. One other tool used was a Javascript to check for duplicated titles I did myself that runs on every browser without any special requirements.

Without these tools, the first accomplishment would not be possible in this timing.

The next step is writing all the articles for the titles and the estimated time for successful accomplishment is between 9 months and 18 months.
