Triond – Please Help Me…

The Triond community has always been there for me. I hope it can help me this time as well.

As many of you know, I am very interested in learning how to do proper SEO and promotion. I take the time to study each and every new system I find. And once I have the results – I publish it to you as well. So you can enjoy my knowledge.

I first started with digg. I sat, read, followed, and eventually have many insights that made me write my guide about how to properly use Digg. Even earlier to that I study the use of traffic generators (which are illegal on Triond) and how we can leverage them to help us, which lead me to my EasyHit and Digg trick.

I then continue to research Stumbelupon how turn out to be quite easy, and twitter, which I still can not say I fully understand. Along the way I found some other opportunities and I shared the best one with you, such as the opportunity to get 25 free backlinks per day – for free!

My next challenge was Reddit. It was very frustrated from it. However, eventually I understood how to use it and had great results with it. I immediately published my reddit guide for your use, and even showed you another great result I had with it. I would also like to update you that the results just keep in coming. It turns out that reddit also increases the page rank in Google engines therefore I gain a lot more results from Google lately and the earning I got only from the article I sent to reddit are near $2!

My problem

So here is my problem: many people told me I miss a lot of things because I do not use Facebook. So I decided to check it out. Unfortunately, even after reading a lot about it. I do not really understand this social network.

Here is where I am asking for your help: If you use Facebook please help me. You can either comment this article or PM me:

Is it really worth it? How much time do you need to invest in it? What kind of page do you open on Facebook, and how do you promote your articles in it?

I will also appreciate well written and research links to already written articles about this matter.

Thank you,

–Ixodoi.

great work and thanks for sharing your findings with us. I don’t know much about any of this. As far as facebook goes. I guess if you have a lot of friends there, at least a couple of hundreds, and are using it regularly then you could post your links on your fb page. But like everything else you need to canvass for your friends to click on the links, otherwise it’s no use. I don’t use fb because I still want a bit of privacy.
    I hope I’ve been helpful.

I’m on fb, however, my wall is only open to my friends (of course nothing is totally secure these days)…for me, my friends read my work if they wish…

I choose not to use Facebook to promote my writing because privacy issues are important to me. When I join a social network, I always have a specific purpose in mind. I use my Facebook account to exchange information with certain relatives and to keep track of a few friends. Even so, I receive frequent requests from apps wanting access to my email, etc. One Triond member who uses Facebook to promote his writing has more than 9,000 friends. Thus, he’s lost the ability to keep up with his “real” friends on Facebook because he’s doing so much self-promotion. (On the other hand, he may not have any real friends.) Some members have multiple Facebook accounts, one for real friends and one for promotion. I recommend you investigate that option. It’s TOS violation, but plenty of people have made it work for them.

I never really wanted to use facebook but it is a great way to show your family and friends what you are writing and get comments, but unless you have a very big amount of friends on facebook it won’t really help and You don’t want to annoy people by posting to much on their wall, I like it to find out how everybody is doing and for sharing somethings but as with anything never put something on facebook that you would’nt want to see on the front page of the newspaper, have a great day ^_^

If you already have a Facebook account it can be extremely useful. People will “share” your links, read your posts etc. Sharing them from Triond is as simple as moving your mouse over the “share” icon on the “Published” page of your triond account where it shows all the articles you have posted. A little box comes up and you can click on whatever site you’d like the link to be posted on and it does it for you automatically–no personally visiting each site–which saves time. I do it several times a day for all of the sites I post on–FB, Twitter, Myspace etc.
The bottom line is you are never going to make any money on these article writing, ad share sites. If you want to make real cash then write something worthy of your talent and self-publish for free on CreatSpace.com–an Amazon company. http://bizcovering.com/business/self-publish-with-createspace-by-amazon/

I’m quite active on Facebook, but mainly for enjoyment and keeping up with other people and their doings. I don’t often post links to things I’ve written on Triond, and when I have I have come to the conclusion that Triond isn’t counting all the views that come from Facebook (the Facebook Liked counter on a Triond article often showed considerably more visits than Triond credited).

Choosing to promote through facebook is a personal choice. If you have loyal friends on the site you’ll generate views from them which is nice. You don’t have to dedicate that much time but you should communicate on it as much as you can so that the people know you exist. It is up to you whether you feel it is beneficial or not.

I’m on facebook, but don’t fully understand it. Aside from that, I like your art stuff on zazzy. Especially the angel on the beach.
