Improve your writing

Triond: It’s Important to Support Our Fellow Writers

We are a strong, intelligent, talented community of writers. Let’s work together to make our dreams a reality.

I would like to propose an idea that will hopefully catch on quickly!

Every writer on Triond.com has a similar goal, to create and improve their writing, have it read in published form, and continue forward with their writing dreams. So in this common dream, why don’t we all take the time to help each other out? We are all, after all, intrinsically connected and we all can learn from one another. The more we read and learn from others the sharper our writing skills become and the more great writing ideas we will generate. It is a circular, win-win cycle.

So, let’s all try to read at least one other writer’s article a day and leave a positive and constructive comment. This is simple to do and it can make a great difference in everyone’s overall income as well as improving everyone’s writing skills. It only takes a few minutes, but it can and will help propel us all forward toward making all our dreams and hopes come true.

I have to say that I was inspired with this idea by Lucy Lockett. Please check out her articles at socyberty.com.

She is kind soul and one of the writers on this site who has read many of my articles and has generously left a great number of comments. It is to her that I would like to dedicate this idea and article to. Her comments as well as those left by others, like lizzie2uk, have helped me further believe in my writing talents and that I can truly make all my dreams a reality.

We are meant to help one another through life. It is so true, the more you help others, the more you help yourself and the more energy you have to help more people! We are all connected, we all want the best for each other. I truly believe this with all my heart. I believe that people only do harm to others because people can only treat others as well as they can treat themselves.

The more we lift one another up, the less pain we all suffer. When you help a stranger by a simple gesture, for example, reading his or her article, you indirectly help the world because maybe that stranger feels happier and can be kinder to the checker at the grocery store who is, your husband, wife, mother, father, grandmother…you get the picture.

Be well, live, love and be happy. Best wishes to all.

Many thanks for the mention and I agree with you too. I read other writers each day and always leave a comment but it is amazing how many don’t bother to read what I’v e written in return. Maybe if we set an example we might just set a trend.

Awesome. I don’t see why people don’t do this more. If you want something nice done for you, do something for somebody else! They may return the favor.

I agree with all you say Laine, my mother encourages me to journal. She found Triond a short time ago and suggested I sometimes write here,I do like many of the articles and pictures here on Triond and although very busy with my studies I am going to try and keep up with this site for the summer anyway.
Thanks for your great article, and I hope the people here do
hear what you are saying. I am not a writer but writing helps me have a voice and hope that I am heard.

Just stopped by to again reinforce what you have to say about encouragement. Sometimes there are words written that we may not fully understand by others here on Triond. If we stop, reread usually we can understand what they are meaning to say. Not everyone expresses themselves the same. There really is no right or wrong way to say “thank you” just some say it differently. I have noticed YOU see it right, and even if misspelled or written a bit differently you respond with much kindness. What an admirable quality you possess. We all have our own way, as long as it is not blatantly rude, or unkind, it’s all good. We sometimes need to reread and then things do make fine sense. I like that quality in a person.
    Thank you

I’m new to this and am still finding my way around so your article is of great use to me.

I will give it a try as like you said we all share a common interest.

This idea actually reminded me of a film i saw on TV called “Pay it Forward”.

    Many Thanks

Although this will help others create better content, I doubt it makes much of a difference in income. So I do this purely to help others out on their content, and to give them positive messages about their writing.

Thank you so much for this article, writers like you contribute to the idea of “community.” I would also like to personally thank you for your comment on one of my articles recently, 4 Signs Your Relationship Needs Help. Your support is truly appreciated! Thanks again and I will be sure to support other writers as you have and continue to do.

A great article and a real piece of encouragement for writers. I make the effort each day to read and comment on most of the friends articles of that day. It has been an education for me.
    I really enjoy your work.
