Are you making cents on Triond? Do you think it is a waste of time? If you think it is well think again. Every writer has had this problem of earning money on Triond and I do agree as I have also had the same problem. But do not lose hope as you are a few steps away from making a more decent income here.
This article will give you an example of what you can make here on Triond whether it is cents, dollars, hundreds or even thousands! You can make it but how? Work work and work!
Now I am not saying to spend your whole day and every minute writing here but what I am saying is that once you trust yourself and this website, you can gradually build this income far more than what you might think!
I joined this site back in May 2008 and so far I have made a total of around $8-10! Now you might think this is a load of crap but to be honest, I didn’t use the site as much as I am now! I only published around 10 content pieces and I actually made a few cents a month. Yes this is as low as 3 cents!
But for a few months, I have worked extremely hard, publishing 10 pieces of content a day and I have reached nearly 200! But what about my income? I have made a total of $6.92 in December! It is not much but a lot more than 3 cents, don’t you agree?
Here are a few calculations which will help all of us with Triond! Some writers earn hundreds already and this is because of their popularity here and what they write. So how do they earn so much? Here is the info.
Page views are important because this is one way we earn revenue. So how much page views do we need to earn? I was a little disappointed about the page views because it takes near 5-10 page views for 1 or 2 cents! For a more detailed look on what topics generate more income for less views, please see ‘Triond Beginners: Make More Income Part 1′
But how on earth can I make hundreds or even thousands if I make 1 or 2 cents for every 5-10 page views?
The simple thing to do is write write and write! This way you can build these cents to a few dollars and eventually it should turn to hundreds.
Here is a formula I have calculated for all of us. This should definitely help.
Writing below 100 articles:
1 article – 5-10 page views = 1 cent!
50 articles – 5-10 page views/1 cent for each article = 50 cents!
Writing hundreds of articles:
100 articles – 5-10 page views/1 cent for each article = $1!
(So here you can see that for publishing at least a hundred articles, you can make a dollar from them IF they generate 1 cent each)
200 articles – 5-10 page views/1 cent for each article = $2!
Writing over 1000 articles:
1000 articles – 5-10 page views/1 cent for each article = $10!
(If you want to calculate 2 cents for every article, just add the amount you see for the formulas above. For example, 1000 articles generating 2 cents for each piece will make $20 instead of $10)
A formula for thousands of dollars:
5000 articles – 50 page views for one article = 5 cents
5 cents for every piece = $2500!
I am not going to go further but you do know where I am going don’t you? But depending on the amount of page views you get, you can generate over hundreds or thousands of dollars on Triond! To make thousands, you will have to work very hard but you might be lucky to make over 5-10 page views a day which would give you more!
I am concluding this long article now as I do not want to bore you lol!
At the moment, I am aiming to create a total of 1000 articles here and I have nearly created 200! Wish me luck!
If you want to make more money, please add me as a friend as I will look at your work but I might not be able to comment on your works too often as I am too busy with college and everything.
Hope you all the best for 2009 and beyond!

This is a very interesting article. I think you should strive for more than 5-10 views of every article though…is that per day or per month? I wish you much success and luck. Keep up the hard work, it does pay off eventually!

we’re on the same boat shafi, and just like you I’m not giving up Triond for any other site. I really enjoy it here with friends like you. however i also like to increase my income so thanks for this very interesting article. hope you achieve your goal.

nice post,it’s possible to make hundred and maybe thousand, goodluck

Bloat the web? Better to strive for some quality with numbers; I have articles that often enough get several thousand views each, sometimes tens-of-thousands and my reigning champ, just one article, currently has 101,300 views and gains daily still, and has earned just itself, nearly $140.00
If one to to only expect to receive 5 or 10-cents per article, and no more, -I’d have left here long, long ago…
As far as internet interest in ‘writing for Triond’ stories go, keep in mind that 99.99999% of the readers have no idea whatsoever “Triond” is and probably don’t even care. That is why you will never see a “how to write for Triond” article from me. More likely, the article would be “BURIED” or “THUMBS-DOWN” long before. The niche is too specific even if I had ‘tricks’ and knowledge of what works (I do,) writing a ‘net article about it just won’t work for me. I might blog it though.
But the math is interesting.

I am starting to make better money here. The rate of growth is snowballing. Keep the faith.

Optimism and tenacity are two important things when it comes to online writing!
I tend to agree with thestickman here – quality and marketing of an individual article is far more important than writing a zillion pieces of work… spare some time to market your work and the hits will go up!
Also, adivce on writing for Triond and so on is, as thestickman says, noble but you will never get more than a few hundred views for one of them… however, if you are lukcy enough for one of your articles to go wild on Digg, then you can get tens or hundreds of thousands of views!
Ten articles a day? There is no way I could do that – and my reputation is as a prolific writer! Hats off to you!
January 4th, 2009 at 1:14 pm
I’m with RJ and stickman here.
Quality as opposed to quantity and promotion of quality work are the keys to being successful.
I just started here a couple of months ago and have a lot of content, but I also have articles with hundreds of page views due to promotion. I am often hitting 100 or more hits/day, sometimes much more. Sometimes much more on a single article.
Yes, write as much as possible, but make it good quality work and take the time to promote it. Just posting articles isn’t going to make you popular and raise those numbers.
Ten articles? One or two quality articles is a good day’s work. I couldn’t do it either.
I wish you success and great fortune.

Interesting point with good clarifications by Triond writers. Isn’t it so that if a writer started sacrificing quality to quantity then rating would fall significantly and the writer would get a bad reputation. After that it’d be rather hopeless to get readers again.
I write because I enjoy writing. Any money that comes is an extra.

Glad (and relived!) that a few people agree with my position. Writing one article per day is a pretty noble contribution to ‘love the written word’ and just one or two ‘top performers’ per month can generate some serious mad-cash. For the maybe 1 hour it took me to research, write & add images (then proofread, correct, add links, spellcheck/grammar check etc. and when published, promote the article~) the rewards amounts to around $70.oo/hour for that one article. This is something worth striving for.
January 4th, 2009 at 4:15 pm
Good luck and I hope I can achieve that goal also!
January 4th, 2009 at 4:49 pm
It’s always good to keep sight of your goals and have a plan to reach them. I can understand why you took a minimal hits approach, since the number of articles you publish is the only variable that you can consistently affect. I doubt that I’ll be able to come up with 1000 quality ideas for articles, but the numbers are interesting anyway!
January 4th, 2009 at 6:43 pm
10 pieces of content a day??? It would need to be more than just good for me to wade through all that. I respond better to a slow steady drip feed of material and am unlikely to check out each of anyone’s 10 pieces in a day which means a lot of wasted effort has been expended – maybe I’m the only one who feels that way?
January 4th, 2009 at 7:30 pm
It’s possible! If you think you can, then you can do it!
All writers here, please yell, “Yes, we can!”
Again, “Yes, we can!”
Well done, “Yes, we can!” achieve “dream” here!
Good luck!

It’s wonderful to have goals! Yours are truly noble! I wish you all the luck and you have been given lots of great advice here from tried and truly great writers for this site. I personally write for the love of it, and appreciate the friends I have made here. The feedback helps keep me going and gives me insight if something is worthy of sending off for paper or hardback publication.

This particular article caught my attention since I only recently signed up for this site. I have been suprised with the amount of views & comments I have received on the two articles I have submitted already and look forward to being more active on this site. But as said before, I just love to write and get feedback on my thoughts, writing style and ideas. Any money that comes from it is extra.
January 4th, 2009 at 8:26 pm
Nice article here, but as others have stated – Plenty of content, good quality and lots of marketing will earn you more $$.
January 4th, 2009 at 9:17 pm
I enjoyed reading your article! It gave an interesting insight of how much one can make… At times I was doubting if it really worked, but I’m sticking with it. I love to write and enjoy getting peoples feedback. Thanks for an interesting read!
January 5th, 2009 at 12:25 am
It’s funny, because I already calculated this formula months ago, before you posted this article.
I figure that if I keep on publishing, I’ll eventually get a decent amount of income. But I’m guessing it’ll take a year or two before I even reach the 1,000 mark.
January 5th, 2009 at 6:30 am
A very inspiring article.
January 5th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Interesting article, though I’m inclined to agree with Stickman, Michele, and others regarding quality vs quantity.
It’s clear to me, however, that you’re merely pointing out with basic math what is required to “make it happen”. The numbers can be cut an divided on numerous variables.
Regardless of our personal preferences, we need to generate material that will bring not only friends but new-comers searching for some meat and potatoes, and to do so consistently. Of course, this too favors the “quality over quantity” paradigm.
Still, at the root, it’s a good article and can serve to motivate us.

Very interesting and very handy

Great article, you got the point, I hope I can reach that goal too, che

Good motivational article!
January 9th, 2009 at 8:51 am
Yes I agree this article is great motivation. Great advice! I often wonder being a few steps away from any dream is the steps itself are the exciting part! If my dream all came true today, then what?? haha
Great read thought thanks for sharing all you have. I am new here and loving the advice articles.

Interesting article but your page views and earnings seem on the low side. I’ve made far more and have received more page views.
Continue to work as you are doing and in time views and earnings should go up.
February 12th, 2009 at 7:32 pm
Horray! Yes we can!!!! Great article and such motivation for all of us.
February 15th, 2009 at 7:56 pm
Quality vs quantity and also time spent writing vs time spent promoting. One quality article well promoted will do better for you over the long run than 10 slapped together articles. If you can mass produce quality articles and promote them successfully you are off to the races!

I agree.Great article!

I forgot to add that I’ll give this a thumbs up in stumble upon.

Good article, I strive for the same thing, but I’m more into photography than writing articles, so I’m trying to reach the same with photo’s although they do not earn as much as an article.
April 27th, 2009 at 5:00 pm
Very nice article, it is very detailed and shows a good estimate of the truth!
July 6th, 2009 at 3:07 pm
Doing well, getting more articles and views and coming back to this article the advice really begins to make more sense. It is possible!
July 6th, 2009 at 8:11 pm
This is a great article! You have really got the people talking. I myself, agree with Rana Sinha. I am here because I love to write. And, I also feel that any money is good money, because I am doing what I love. If you are only writing to make money and your heart is not in it, you won’t create anything worth reading. That’s how I feel about it. Some things are not all about money. Some things are about passion. The passion to create. You have really got my attention with both your articles about making money here and on other sites. I really like your style. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future. Happy Publishing!
