Triond Gets $1.5 Million Investment

Does a serious writer have a future writing for Triond?

What does being a “serious” writer mean?  I’ve already self-published one book.  It didn’t sell.  And the chances of me finding a publisher that would invest its own money to publish a book of my work are very slim.  So, I’ve made the business decision to take all that energy I would waste in self-publishing or in looking for a publisher to invest its own money and to invest my energy in Triond.  To some I may not appear to be a serious writer.

Now I know there will be some reading this article who will say there are sites where I don’t have to pay to have my book published.  My reply is, I’m not making myself clear.  These sites would be a waste of my time; and time is far more valuable than money.  Especially, when you’re my age.  Investing all my energy and time in Triond makes me a very serious writer.

Triond allows me to publish and to reach a world wide readership.  All I have to do is write and be active in the community.  That’s it.  For keeping up my part of the deal, I get an ever increasing readership and an ever increasing monthly fee.  Some may scoff at this.  All I can say is that I think this is a pretty good deal.  Triond has a network that I could never even imagine putting together.  I only had one concern about Triond.  How long would it be around?

I did a little research.  I came up with some interesting stuff.  Global Investing Today and other online news articles convinced me that Triond will be around for a time.

If Giza Ventures thinks Triond is worth 1.5 million of its dollars I think Triond is worth 1.5 million of my words.  Writing is not only my passion it’s also my business.

I think I’m a very serious writer.

This is very interesting, I do hope they will use it wisely! I honestly believe that the publishing standards need to be raised, though, before Triond can be a success. The money will help, but there are things they could do that wouldn’t cost anything, which would drastically improve the websites from the perspective of the new visitor. Perhaps this is why and how they are paying over the odd for being published on a couple of the sites, sites which also went under a redesign recently. If so, it seems to be working rather well.

I can’t agree more. I guess Triond will be round as long as the internet is around.

I agree with you wholeheartedly. It is not so much where you write, but the quality of your work and the fact that you work at your art that makes you a serious writer.

I think you are one of the best! You are also one of the people that makes this site so great to be a part of.

CaSundara, I don’t know how long Triond has been around but I get the feeling that the company is still working out a few glicthes. This infusion of cash means someone out there in the business world thinks Triond has a great future.

Unofre, I certainly hope so. I don’t write for any other site. I’m putting all my chips on Triond.

Papa, I just happen to be surfing the web when I decided to punch in Triond and see what I came up with. Triond is located in Israel. And a company in Israel just invested all this money in Triond.

martie, one of the rewards of writing for Triond is networking with the writers in the community and reading content from all over the world about all sorts of subjects. I consider myself a professional and this is a great job to have.

Yovita, writing takes so many things and passion is definitely one of them. Without passage, I don’t see how anyone could be a serious writer.

A good write-up Guy. I consider myself a serious writer. I don’t consider myself a good writer yet. But I haven’t been doing it long.

It is interesting to see this article. I can see how someone who has the time and energy to invest into this would be able to generate some income.

It is also good to know that there is an investor who has faith enough to infuse that kind of money into Triond.

I really like Triond, too. It presents so many possibilities and their tracking tools provide great feedback as to where the readers are coming from that can help me make adjustments. Now if they could just shrink the registration info on their home page, some. I’ve sent people to the site to read our stuff and they complain that it’s so big and bold that is a turn off, versus quickly showing how to steer the reader to a particular writer they are looking for, or being able to see more of the great things available on the site that a new reader could see immediately.

JJ, could send the reader directly to his profile. An interested writer can submit on almost any page. They can also install the toolbar and submit from there.

I have been writing here since 2007 and have witnessed many changes and some of them have been awesome. Others I wonder about, but then I only have to know how to participate and do my part. I encourage all “wannabe writers” to explore this site. It cost nothing to join and the potential is here.

I’m very pleased to see a great writer like you pouring so much time and effort into Triond. I’ve wondered if it is possible to make a decent income from Triond. I’ve been working at it very hard for the past couple of months. I’m seeing steady improvement in my income. It’s not even close to where I need it to be, though, and I can make more writing other places. However, these other places don’t give me the freedom that Triond does. That’s why I keep coming back. Perhaps with a lot of effort and patience one can make Triond worthwhile. That’s my great hope.

WriteEditSeek, it’s my great hope, too. I’ve definitely put all my chips on Triond which means I don’t have time to write for anyone else. I really don’t have time to write for my own personal blog. The potential benefits of writing for Triond makes writing for my blog a waste of time.

lillyrose, I wish Triond would put more value on short stories; but I guess that’s what the market will bear. I won’t be publishing many pieces of flash fiction on Triond. I would like to but it doesn’t pay.

I stand by your side, Guy. When I was in my late 20’s I told myself I will publish a book before I reach 30 but it never happened. Considering I was in the Philippines at that time and my friends are the type that wouldn’t bother to read a page of a book in english. On my late 30’s I could say it’s better late than never, and I have proven that here with my circle of writer-friends at Triond. I would be branded a hypocrite if I deny the lure of money but it doesn’t come that easy. Before one must earn from writing he should be well versed to write. Mastery of the craft and the camaraderie here at Triond is something beyond compare. Thanks for sharing.

    Best regards,
    Will

Very deep article, and for those of us who spend a lot of time here on triond.com, it is serious. For me any how, since I started about 6 months ago, I have learned new things, experience the joy of what other think of my writing. It awesome, so keep writing, and of course keep us abreast about how long triond will be around.

    Guy,
I have been here on Triond since 2007, and love it. I wish Triond had been around when I was younger, and sending out my manuscripts to print publishers. Judging from your article, Triond may outlive us all. I don’t think I would be able to find another site I would be comfortable writing for. I love the fact they publish everything from non-fiction articles to poetry and fiction, and any and everything in between. I have many friends here at Triond, and everyone of them are a blessing. Triond is a excellent home for my writing. Should I finally reap the success of print publication, I will always come back to Triond for the simple reason this is where I was first published. Triond is a great place to show people your talent, and evidently someone thinks Triond is a excellent investment, regardless where its located. Great article, Guy.
